I had raised a case with Resolver but had received no response for escalation from them. 1. Air conditioning - This was definitely not working and considering it was 3 degrees outside the room was absolutely freezing. This was definitely not a comforting room to be in. This was also making noise all night so I was unable to sleep with the irritating sounds. 2. Cigarette smell - Every-time I had walked into the room it had a strong smell of cigarettes, not sure if smoking is permitted in the room but I do not smoke and the room smell was very strong and absolutely disgusting! he pillows had blood stains on them with no pillow cases on them which was disgusting and I refuse to think that I paid this much money on a horrible room 5. Breakfast issues - I had booked on AllAccor and the cost was £134.10 including breakfast and £126 without breakfast. I had paid £134.10 to include breakfast. I went to the reception and they said that breakfast was not included. I said several times that I am sure I definitely paid for breakfast and they refused. The worker then called the manager who was disgustingly rude and refusing to accept the fact that we had paid for breakfast. He said we are only allowed to have takeaway breakfast and so to take the breakfast into our rooms after collecting it from the restaurant. He also said as a manager he will honour eat in breakfast to us for £20 which i knew he had just made up to make some extra money from me which i refused as i knew he was lying. i went for breakfast collection on Sunday and Monday and they had let me eat in breakfast and said do not worry about it? So if i had paid extra it would have made no difference to them as they let me eat in anyway.

I chose this hotel because it was recently refurbished and in that regard it did not disappoint. The room was clean and fresh. There were tea and coffee making facilities, hand soap and shower gel. No drinking water, no shower cap, body lotion etc. although reception was able to provide shower caps on request. Despite the bed not looking overly comfortable we had a decent night’s sleep. The bed sheets were bobbly - would have been nicer if they were crisp. The noise from the motorway (given the location) did not disturb us. Having a separate toilet without a wash basin somewhat defeats the purpose. The shower and sink were clogged and so much water pooled in the shower tray that you had to stop the water for fear of flooding the bathroom. On arrival the receptionist was very friendly, as was the bar manager. A good selection of food at the bar and thanks to my silver ALL status we received complimentary welcome drinks. The breakfast was not great for vegetarians or vegans which we specified on the booking. All the standard fare but nothing was labelled and no one around to really ask. No alternative milks. Having paid extra for breakfast I ended up eating a slice of toast and instant coffee. The hash browns looked brown and dry rather than golden so we avoided. Not the standard I would expect for what claims to be a 4 star hotel. On departure the receptionist was just not interested in being there. No aspect of friendliness at all. All that said, would I stay again? Yes for the room (despite the sheets, the cleanliness of the refurbished room was important to me). However, I’d skip breakfast.

Great hotel.. Highly recommended 👍 I was most pleased with good size quality of the rooms, with Smart Samsung TV 📺 which you can screen mirror using an Android phone 📱 👈. It also has VGA for laptop and HDMI connections... Well thought out guys. Free WiFi is included ⚙️ The shower 🚿 was amazing and spacious. Breakfast was great too 🍳🍲🍤☕🤩. There is a fridge in every room to enjoy your night cereal or ☕ 🥣. 😋 One suggestion would be to have larger coffee ☕ mugs. Hint: bring your own and request a jug of boiling hot 🔥 milk 🥛. Then you can enjoy tea 🍵. I almost lost my wedding ring 💍 which was found in the safe and they kindly returned it by registered post. A big thank you for to Novotel. 😃👌

This hotel is modern and the rooms are of a good standard which has a safe, a fridge which is great and proper wardrobes.

The quality of the hotel and rooms is so much nicer then the really out dated old fashioned Best Western opposite but unfortunately i did not sleep that well i started to get pains all over my back and other parts of my body as soon as i got in the bed because the mattress is extremely firm way too firm. I stay in a lot of hotels this has got to be the most firm one i have tried to sleep in, although this hotel is better then the best western on looks the beds are more comfortable for me at the best western.

The heating was just flashing obviously a fault with it no matter what you pressed nothing would work i decided to have no heating rather then complain, if it was really cold in the room i would have said something.

Also there was this really terrible loud plumbing fan type of noise kept coming on every now and again from the vents in the hallway considering no air con or heating was on i am assuming it might have something to do with the next door rooms maybe using the shower or heating or something but it is really loud sounding and that is with the tv on loud i have no idea if this is normal practice in the rooms but it certainly is annoying and can stop you from sleeping.

Over all nice hotel but the bed caused me terrible pains which can turn into feeling like torture. Shame they cannot cater in between for people that do not like beds really firm they do not have to be really soft but at least softer then what it is i felt like i was lying on a hard floor.

I am giving it 3 stars because overall a nice hotel which includes a fridge and safe which a lot do not have but really for quality of sleep due to bed should be a lot lower but i am sure some will like a...

Excellent hotel! I'm really not a fan of hotels in general, so when I say this was a fantastic experience despite that, I truly do mean it.

Parking was secure and well lit, with the hotel easy to find straight off Junction 25 of the M1. Although I couldn't actually hear the motorway at all from my room.

I stayed for five days this week ending 18/09/2020, from the moment of arrival the staff were friendly and helpful (which continued without fail throughout the week despite the obvious long hours they were each working). They offered me towels, coffee and soap for the room, which are not left in the room for Covid reasons. As well as informing me of everything I needed to know for my stay. Room service is on request but there is no limit, nor is there on the amount of fresh towels you can receive.

My room was clean, cool and modern. Everything worked perfectly. The toilet and shower are in two separate rooms, which is convenient. The bed was sturdy, clean and comfortable with plenty of lights and plug sockets both around it and the rest of the room. The chair for the desk was far more comfortable than most I've sat in, in other hotels, with the WiFi access for the room being a relatively fast (50mb), free and stable connection, video calls, work emails and even a spot of gaming were no issue.

The food for both breakfast and dinner was, whilst limited, delicious and well prepared. Even as a fussy eater I have no complaints.

A special thank you to all the staff for your continued hard work during this rather rubbish time. I assure you neither your astounding effort nor the long hours you worked went unappreciated, you all deserve a long holiday and a pay rise....
