Bridge Inn — Restaurant in Erewash

Massively disappointed with the service here when we visited on holiday. First off - a different menu if you want to eat outside?! Pub wasn't overly busy, most drinking and not eating so was very surprised to have a "1 hour wait on food" suggested to us but we agreed and sat down outside to wait. 55 minutes later, we see the waitress come out with our burgers. Who then unfortunately tripped over and our meal went everywhere - she couldn't obviously do anything about this, I felt so sorry for her - but what followed was absolutely ZERO customer service. No member of staff came to explain what had happened, to confirm that they would rush through another meal, to offer some sort of apology for yet another wait... We waited about another 15 minutes and my husband went in to the pub to inquire about what was happening (at this point we were ready to leave, meal or not!) The meal came out while my husband was asking about it. Waiter came to the table - plonked the plates down on the opposite side. Went off to get some cutlery, plonked that on the table and walked off. No apology, no offer of sauces or napkins or quite frankly any manners at all.

The one good point - the burger and fries tasted good! It does at least deserve the star that has to be given.

Unfortunately by that point we were so fed up that we didn't particularly want...

Review update:

My son recently took me back here for my birthday. They have undergone a full renovation, introduced a new menu and upgraded the equipment there.

The food on the new menu was delicious, the service just as good as before and great staff.

We will be going again soon, the atmosphere is always great and we always have a good time. I hadn't been here for over 20 years until my son invited me over for a night out, a meal, play some pool and darts.

Now I just love going back to enjoy a night of great food, company and too relax with the lads.

Absolutely fabulous night every time, Lee & Louise are great hosts, William the chef who cooks our food delivers every time, all this complimented by the excellent service, by Exza and the other staff members who are always polite and professional making for a friendly, welcoming experience.

They have a variety of activities, pool, darts, karaoke, a great Wednesday pool night where all comers are welcome.

You can listen to music, watch the match, play one of the games machines or if you have skills knock a few bars out on the piano, or simply enjoy the atmosphere of a great pub while having a few laughs with the locals.

They are pet friendly which I think is great, seriously well worth a visit, might even see you in...

We had arranged 2 weeks before to book for 16 people for a meal to celebrate our Golden wedding anniversary,We pre-ordered the food and paid deposits.When we arrived the tables were not available and they had to make space to push 3 tables together, At this point I have to say that the food, when it finally arrived was very good but we had to ask and wait for cutlery, condiments and napkins.One of the party requested tomato sauce and it took 45 minutes and 2 further requests.It transpires that there was only one bottle on the premises.We only saw two people serving all the tables and some people we spoke to had waited over an hour for their meals.They were told it was our fault as they weren't expecting us!!!. The manager was seen to be sitting down drinking with customers in the bar all night.When we complained at the end of the night the cost of the puddings were taken off the bill,As only about six of us had these it wasn't a great amount however we felt sorry for the girl on the till who had go out in to the bar to get permission to give the discount so we...
