Hot Tub Hideaway @the Goatshed — Hotel in Gateshead

We stayed at the Hot Tub Hideaway in the North Studio for a "micromoon" - a 1 night romantic private stay child free. It certainly delivered for what we were looking for. The room was beautifully decorated with little touches to create an ambience. There were lots of different lighting options so you can have it as dim or bright as you like. The temperature of the room was perfect with the underfloor heating. I would love to come back in the winter and try out the log burner fire also. Everything was sparkling clean and the bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in! Please reveal where you bought the mattress! If I had one tiny tip to give to make it even better I would say have the TV on a swivel bracket so that if we wanted to watch TV in bed on the morning we could comfortably. The whirlpool bath was fantastic! The welcome hamper and bottle of prosecco was a lovely touch and we really appreciated it. The outdoor yard and hot tub was exceptionally private and made you feel like you were right in the countryside. Robes and disposable slippers were provided. The artificial plants wall made for lovely surroundings and the shelf next to the hot tub was ideal for having a relaxing drink in the supplied plastic glasses. There was an outdoor plug in the hot tub shed as well so we could have our phone plugged in for music. If I visit again I will bring a speaker as I couldn't hear the music very well over the jets. There were plenty of options for ordering take out and restaurant nearby. We opted to get a taxi to an Italian restaurant 6 minutes away which didn't disappoint. There was a little confusion when we first arrived as we were supposed to be in the South Studio but the North Studio guests had accidentally went into our room. We rang the owner and explained and she was extremely friendly. We were happy to just swap rooms and personally think we ended up with the better one anyway as it had the whirlpool bath and was the last one so wouldn't have people walking past. Maybe just have a different code for the 2 studios so the mix up isn't possible. Overall we had a fantastic stay and will not hesitate in returning if we are ever lucky enough to get a child free...

Stayed here for one night was absolutely beautiful but would not say it was worth the money as the hot tub was broke so none of the jets and bubbles worked the lady did come out to fix it as soon as we called her but it did not go back on for the night so was very disappointed as that's why we booked this place for the hot tub especially and did not hear anything after even though we let them know on the morning so I think we should of been offered another night with a working hot tub but didn't hear anything back, so for that reason I would not stay again but the place was beautiful apart from the...

Can't reccomend this place highly enough my husband booked us a night here for our 17th wedding anniversary as a suprise for me upon arriving Janet greeted us and showed us around and was extremely accommodating.

The room itself was beautiful cosy and very well maintained and cleaned to a high standard. The privacy and the hot tub was lovely I can't believe this little place is on the doorstep I felt a million miles away.

I left feeling extremely relaxed and refreshed and I can't wait to visit again 10/10 from us and we will see you...
