Really good play equipment. Plenty parking beautifully kept, no rubbish laying around. The river is gorgeous. Bring water shoes as its rocky. Fun all day lovely big field for picnics. Didn't actually stay at the Holiday park just visited for the afternoon.

Beautiful little spot right on the river, big field to have a kick about, a play park with vintage toys, a coffee/icecream shop and a caravan site. We often come down with the kids bring a picnic and let the kids play in the water and explore, great fun !

Lovely walk along the path from Derwent Manor Hotel to the River Derwent turning right along the footpath to the A68 and then across the bridge to Allensford park. Nice cafe at the other end of the park.

Play area starting to look run down and dirty. Signs everywhere to clean up after your dog. Fields a mess. Our 3 year old stood in a big steamer. Added a good 15 mins on to pur plans for the day as we then had to clean his shoes before we could get back in the car. Won't be doing Allensford this summer if we can't be sure that our boys won't be rolling in dog poop! Shame for the cafe as they're putting a lot of effort in to attract new visitors - only reason it's not a 1 or 2...

Went there two years ago and it was excellent food and service. Hopefully these issues are temporary and i will have the opportunity to change my...

Cafe was great, great selection of foods/ice cream even alcohol. But park was rubbish, almost everything was either very dirty or broken. Needs fixed and a lick of paint and would be decent. On the field we had to be careful incase we stood in dog poo. Not somewhere I would recommend to take...
