Amazing little place, lodges are compact and cute! Very clean and have the necessary items needed. Great to use as a base to go exploring the surrounding areas. The small trails around are very convenient. The only issue we have is that the bed and mattress was very firm. Not that comfy fir either of us, we both suffered with back pain when waking up. Other than that, everything else is perfect. P.s wear insect repellent in the summer!!

We stopped here to break up our drive and am so glad we did. The food was delicious in the coffee shop and nothing was too much trouble for them. After eating we did the faerie trail and it was absolutely amazing, the faerie houses are fantastic and the trail book you fill in with the clues is a fantastic idea and very interactive. Will definitely be visiting again even if it's just to see the troll hiding near the bridge...

Absolutely fabulous place for young & old , cafe, visitors center, horse riding & stables there to see . The fairy trail is great and very well done .. had me believing ... Access to the monument too but quite a walk from the car park .. which is free , but they do ask you for a voluntary doation of a ÂŁ1 to help with the upkeep

Just back from our 2 day stay, the lodge is spotless and fresh and everything you need. Our lodge was the only one with the hot tub which we used on the second day. Beautiful views and plenty of places to walk. With the rain didn’t get out much unless out in the car. Only issue was bed mattress uncomfortable need to upgrade to better ones. No microwave which we knew about, which would have been better to have one. know there’s not a lot of space for one in the kitchen. If you want to cook u have to put all the ceiling lights on which is ok. Only serious issue I have is I was taking photos of the hot tub and lodge leaned against the fence and it’s an electric fence so got zapped and it was painful. There is no signage up and contacted number on booking to be told it’s a working farm. That was that no apology or asked if I was ok. I’m from a farming back ground and all fences need to have signage up warning others but nothing. Not sure also you can have a hot tub next to a wire fence. Apart from that we did...

We visited here in May.The cafe was open and we had delicious cakes, coffee and hot chocolate. The staff were very helpful and pointed out the things we could see and do. The wildlife walk is quite short, but extremely well laid out and varied, with ponds, streams, bushes and native trees, encouraging lots of insect and bird species. Some of the highlights were song thrush, whitethroat, willow warbler, linnet and redpoll. We also saw peregrine and red kite. A longer trail is also present for those wishing to walk further. Lots of leaflets in the visitor centre and toilets - always welcome. We had...

Noticed this place by chance & a Fairy trail. .being a bit of a kid decided to give it a go....not disappointed in fact loved it ...so so cute ..lots of individual fairy houses....including one where kids can leave the fallen out tooth .a large troll at the footbridge...red kite flying above...carved out wooden hand impression where u lay your hands to make a wish.this place is wheelchair accessible but I would suggest those walking wear sturdy footwear as ground was wet & bit slippy... Afterwards treat yourself to cake/ coffee in the large roomy cafe. .new owners very...
