Appalling from the minute we arrived when we got here there was another couple had moved into the cabin we booked even thoughthey hadn't been booked in the owners mother arrived to fix the mess said for the other couple to go to another of their cabins I asked if someone could give the cabin a quick clean after they had gathered their things from our cabin which they had unpacked she said no they have only been in the cabin half an hour but that wasn't true they had time to unpack their car put their things away and make themselves a cup of coffee|So once they were gone we took out stuff in from the car firstly they had spilt coffee all over the bench top then went into the bathroom and there was pee on the floor in front of the toilet and pee dribbles on the pan rim this is just nit good enough after a long drive I had to go clean up this mess before we could use anything |Then came time to go to bed well things get much worse from here it is completely unacceptable to expect people to sleep in these bed the mattress is so hard its like sleeping on a flat bit of wood actually sleeping on the floor would have been more comfortable beds in both rooms were the same there is no give in the mattresses at all hard as |The state of these mattresses is appalling they are beyond old they can't expect people to sleep in these beds after paying alot of money to stay here it's not right after being out all day u just want to come back and sleep but no |The inners are well aware of the state of these beds and choose to do nothing about them |I sent an email to the owners about the state of the beds they didn't even bothered to reply |They just take your money |They should be ashamed of themselves |It's such a shame as the grounds are amazing and beautiful loads of walking paths horses walled garden we even saw hedgehogs deer lots of rabbits and deer there is a tennis court it's very private even though there's about another 5 cabins here but u can't see them we were able to keep the windows open at night it's so quiet it's lovely to sit our on the deck and listen to all the birds |The kitchen is good but not very well equipped knives were blunt tim opener was so old it no longer works a tiny frying pan the clothes line kn the side if the cabin was filthy it had to be cleaned before we could use it and there was only a few pegs |This place had the potential to be a.azing but owner is only interested in getting your money and not investing it in better quality mattresses |We were so disappointed this was our holiday that we paid alot of money for we spoke to a few other people staying in the other cabins not one of them were happy with the state of their cabins so it wasn't just us |So even though the location is fantastic I can NOT recommend you stay here there is plenty of other holiday lets nearby that you can book |We want our money back we should in have to clean up other people's pee stains when they shouldn't have even been in our cabin the owners leave they keys on the door of the reception building and the other couple had taken our keys and moved into our cabin he said the owners mother said they can go in here disgusting handling of that mess |So please don't book queenshill or barstobrick cabins take your money else where unless u like sleeping on a slab...

My partner and I decided to stay away for Christmas and the Elm lodge could not have been a better choice! ||The spec of the lodge is fantastic, huge kingsize bed, separate dressing room, rainfall shower, heated towel rail and separate boot room for all of our walking gear. Understandably we were concerned about cooking a full Christmas dinner in a kitchen we haven’t been to however everything we needed was there, for 2 people. My only comment is that there wasn’t any cleaning spray or dish sponge. No bother to us as we packed everything but the kitchen sink just incase and ended up taking most home unused. ||The lodge was also cosy and toasty with good heating.||The privacy of this lodge is unbeatable, if you’re looking for a somewhat secluded break and not to be disturbed or feel you are disturbing anyone else then here was perfect. |||Absolute highlight was the hot tub which we used morning and night, fluffy towels, dressing gowns and plastic wine glasses provided too. ||Certainly a Christmas that will go down in history for us, thank you to our lovely host for...

No one to meet us on arrival which was very disappointing as we had no idea where our lodge was. Decor needs updating, dirty walls and black ceiling in the bathroom, bed very hard, heaters don't look safe at all and were quite temperamental. Electric was on pay per use which is a bit of a pain, would much prefer to just pay a supplement on booking. However saying that the lodge was well equipped and is in an idyllic setting with a lovely tea room that does the best steak not to far. Beautiful grounds for dog walking and amenities all within a reasonable distance. Quite over priced for two nights. Not somewhere i would return to. Oh...

Just home from a lovely weekend spent here. We were looking for a peaceful and relaxing weekend and that is exactly what we got. We arrived on Friday left on Monday and didn't see or hear a single person. Cabin was clean with everything that we needed for the weekend, Big fluffy towels and lots of hot water and good shower pressure. The shower cubicle was a little on the small side but that was ok for the weekend. We did cook and found the cooker easy to use we had all the utensils we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and can't wait to go back.

Lovely little cottage. Looks small on outside but bigger inside. Nice and cosy. Seats are comfy. Bed is big enough. Kitchen is nice and cosy. Nice little decking area. Love the privacy with trees etc in between the cottages. Has exactly whats needed for a chilled getaway. Has even got decent WiFi. Will definitely look into potentially booking again in the future. Shower area is a little small for my size. XL... Water pressure from shower isn't great and neither is the shower head holder range. But still nice and warm and usable to get cleaned up etc.

Stayed in Willow lodge, lovely.....quiet, private and cozy. Everything we needed for a short 3 day break. Would have scored 5 stars if it wasn't for a few 'maintenance' issues...... Taps in bathroom need repairing/replacing as washers seem to have perished leaving black bits around basin. Tap in kitchen constantly drips. Biggest 'issue' was lack of water pressure for the shower.....not brilliant. Yes, we would stay again, but a few minor tweaks would make it perfect.
