Birdsong Cottage — Hotel in Great Britain

What a wonderful place to stay. Stayed 2 nights and wished we'd booked more. A lovely cottage with friendly owners who were so attentive to our needs. They went over and above in providing everything that we might have needed during the stay in the room from a mini sewing kit to playing cards to even q shoehorn. There were little treats in the room too, chocolate and water in the fridge and caramel shortbread with a coffee making machine and fresh milk too. There were local maps for planning walks too. The breakfast was to order and brought to the room. On the first morning we had stotties; one with bacon and one with sausage and they were absolutely scrumptious. On the second morning we had fresh fruit and yoghurt with warm, fresh pastries. Scrummy. Richard, the owner was so helpful and interested in our plans to discover the local area. Ok. We turned up to stay at the B and B next door in the amazing cedar cabin. The parking outside was very unclear. We turned up unsure of where to go and parked in we we thought was the only available parking. No sooner had we parked than someone came out who was so rude, I can honestly say I’ve never ever been spoken to like that. I would definitely never ever stay in this place. If someone can treat an innocent party temporarily parking in a car parking space I would advise anyone never to stay there. Having said that, the cedar cabin next door was totally amazing. My wife and I had the most delightful stay for two nights. The location was ideal as a base for exploring Northumberland. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming as well as attentive to all our needs to make our stay pleasant and memorable. The accommodation was kept spotlessly clean and adhered to the Covid 19 cleanliness regulations. The breakfasts were served to our room and the locally sourced produce, choice and cooking were brilliant. The room had a balcony and a sea view at the other side.
