Staying at this hotel was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, Anthony, the host, made us feel completely at home. His warm hospitality and friendly demeanor set the tone for a fantastic stay. We had long, engaging conversations, and his local knowledge and willingness to help with anything we needed made all the difference.
We stayed in a charming camping pod, which, while simple, was spotless and cozy. It added a special touch to our journey, giving us that perfect balance between comfort and adventure. Waking up to the natural beauty around us was an unforgettable experience.
The location is absolutely unbeatable. To the right of the hotel lies a stunning, expansive lake — perfect for camping, peaceful walks, or simply soaking in the beautiful views. And if you’re into trekking, this spot is a dream come true! The path to Snowdon is just a short two-minute walk away, making it the ideal base for anyone looking to explore the majestic landscapes.
Whether you’re seeking adventure or a tranquil retreat surrounded by natural beauty, this place delivers on every front. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and eager to return. Highly...
Read moreWas so looking forward to this stay! I'm not sure if that's normal for pods but the one we stayed in had extremely strong smell of damp. Like...the damp was hitting you soon as you open door and even at the end of stay and having windows open 24/7 it was still there... I would also recommend bringing your own bedding as I've questioned the one provided. Pillow cases certainly smelled like used and not washed. As an essetial- I would suggest owner providing ear plugs for guests. It's not the road that was noisy- but all other guests! I was in my pod on my own, having a group of men talking loud till late hours and could hear that like they were in the pod with me! As I'm a single woman- I didn't feel comfortable to approach them at 11pm to ask to be quiet so I felt extremely uncomfortable and annoyed as it was after all day hiking and just wanted some rest.. Apart from that- location was lovely, bathroom facilities great, cafe 5min walk from site, close to snowdon hikes. It's a shame I was so disappointed with pods themselves but maybe was...
Read moreWe paid £135 for 2 nights over the Aug bank hol weekend. We brought it direct and saved around £20. We stayed in penryth pod which is up the stairs and shared a bathroom with another pod which was fine, I only had to wait once for the bathroom. We went Tesco and brought a ready meal as there was a microwave. The fridge could have probably do with a deep clean and the milk was out of date. We got the bus which is a 6 min walk to pen y path. It cost £3 single ticket and did the pyg path up Snowdon and walked down the Watkins path which is near the site. I would recommend this stay. Location is amazing, with nature around and a walk around a lake opposite the site. Bedddelert was gorgeous and we visited the cafe, ice cream/pizza place and pub for food. Mattress and pillows were comfy. Bring your own toiletries. Heater inside...
