Conifers farm is situated in a beautiful setting but the camp site itself is lacking in a bit of love. Basically a field split in two, One drinking water tap between everyone, toilets and shower block is very basic, although showers are hot, can't say it was overly clean and didn't see any extra provisions put in place for covid, you have to air dry your hands after using the toilet as no facilities for hand drying. Didn't feel very relaxed at night going to toilets/showers as not one light on the site and you really can't see hand in front of face. Little makeshift recycling area with some signage that could be a little more polite ( don't dump camping stuff) and a few other little signs that need some tweaking minor things but make a difference to a camp site in it looking maintained. The owner I couldn't tell you anything about as only saw her once on arriving and that was the quickest welcome I've ever experienced about a minute. Conifers farm is in a beautiful location, the view is stunning, the stars at night are amazing but the actual camp site needs some love and money put in to it and for what you pay it was certainly over priced in my opinion... you pay for the view not the amenities. Would I return to Newport yes, conifers...
Read moreNot great. The barest minimum facilities combined with the barest minimum maintenance. All at an unjustifiably high price. The waste disposal point is a disgusting health hazard. Insulting, impolite signage everywhere: “Keep dogs on leads”, “No bicycles or dogs beyond this point”, “No dumping camping equipment” (ever heard of “please”?). This place is run more like a prison camp than a friendly, welcoming campsite. It’s run without love. Paying campers are barely tolerated - just for their money. The 2 stars is for the view which is great. But we will not...

Dog friendly and must be kept tethered or on a leash on site. The a half-mile walk downhill to the local village of Parrog on the estuary and beach. The local village of Newport is about a mile’s walk away with pubs, food and shops. Enjoyed a bracing swim in the clear waters...
