The accommodation and scenery was absolutely beautiful and the Airbnb was very clean! Sadly there was a few things that let our trip down... I've never personally stayed in an Airbnb where there's no breakfast. Especially with it being called a 'farm' you would say least expect eggs or something local. However we went shopping and got over that but was very shocked when we realised there was no, shampoo or even shower gel? This is a very basic item that you would expect to be included in ANY accommodation you pay for. So we had to go shopping again. After spending the evening in the wood log cabin we realised the next day there was a charge for the wood you use. £3 each! I initially thought it was a joke because the accommodation includes a hot tub. Well how else are you supposed to use the hot tub? So please note even though your getting a tub, to use it you will be asked to pay even more! Also please note you have to book the games room. We left the cottage very clean and tidy expect making the bed (obviously) and abit of washing up (standard) and the owner decided to leave us a bad review on trip advisor! So be...
Read moreWe stayed in the hideaway for our anniversary which was beautiful and spotlessly clean! There was enough logs for the hot tub for a couple of nights and there is a nice private patio although no garden for this property There is an honesty shop where you can purchase more logs buts quite a hike up by the shepards huts so would recommend driving if aiming to get logs ! Our only niggle was that there was no welcome basket did we get missed? It’s ok we managed but not having any milk was a bit annoying as would have brought some but not stayed anywhere that didn’t leave a bit for you We walked to the pub in Hinton St George for our anniversary meal they made us very welcome and was well worth the hike! We managed to get milk in small village shop there too. Overall really enjoyed our stay and would recommend would just pack...
Read moreJust travelling home from a short new year break in ‘Croft Cottage’. We had the most wonderful stay- the cottage was homely and had everything we needed. On arrival we had tea and biscuits and for the evening we had wine in front of the log fire. Taking our wellies, we were able to enjoy walks in the local countryside and one morning visited Lyme Regis, a short drive away for a delicious lunch. The cottage was the perfect break from the busy nature of home. I would highly recommended anyone to stay here - the cottages are completed to a high standard and are simply perfect. We also stayed in ‘Oak Tree Barn’ two years ago and that was equally as blissful and relaxing. We will...
