This was the second year running we have been to this superb Park. The park itself is immaculate and by the best holiday park in the UK and believe me we have been to quite a lot. The wife my daughters and son in law were going to the Oasis concert at Murrayfield. This park is excellent for that as there is a bus that picks up in the park itself every 10 mins 24 hrs a day direct to the stadium for £2.20. Anyway we arrived Friday went down to the onsite restaurant for tea lovely eating area and we had the chicken baskets which were absolutely lovely. I had a desert of benoffee waffle and biscof sauce with ice cream which was so good it made me go ooooooo lah lahhh. The gentleman serving us with the tattoos on arm was very nice couldnt have been any nicer too us. So on the Sunday we decided to go back for 5 Sunday lunches at £13.95 each which is a bit overpriced but hey diddlly ho. Well!!! firstly it was all different staff on, I had trotted down on the Saturday night to pre book a table by the way. We were shown to our table given menu's then nothing we sat there 15 mins before the son in law asked for someone to get us drinks and take our order. The young girl messed up the order 3 times on her I pad thingy me bob and then brought the wrong drink for my daughter. We said the drink was the wrong she took it away and we waited another 10 mins for her to bring the correct one. Then !! the dreaded dinners came which i wish i had taken a photo of. They were served on what can only be described as a flat waiters tray with a lip. 2 bits of bone dry meat, 3 small roasties, 1 table spoon of mash and i mean a table spoon, 2 small carrots, t tiny pieces of brocolli and a rock hard very small from frozen yorkshire. I was flabagasted at the size for nearly £14 a head. The dinner also had a vinegary taste to it and was probably enough to fill a small child at mr Twisters. It was awful 3 out of 10 we had loads left as it tasted like tripe. Anyway next we sat there with all the dirty plates for over 15 minutes gasping for another drink, again the son in law got up and asked for the table to be cleared. We then sat another 10 mins without her coming back to table so asked for someone to bring us menus to order deserts, a young girl brought 1 yes 1 menu for 5 of us and said i will be back in a couple of minutes nearly 20 minutes later nothing so enough is enough we got up and went to bar to pay I complained to the manager behind bar who knocked 20 perecnt off the bill and couldnt appologise enough but to little to late, what should have been a lovely family dinner was ruined like you couldnt believe. the service was DISGUSTINGLY BAD I have never been anywhere with service so bad. Thats the moaning out the way and I hope Haven take note of this. The park like i said is fantastic we love it there and will be back again the Golf Village area is very nice in fact superb. We went back down the bar on the Monday for a few drinks and again the staff had all changed and this time were very efficient total opposite to Sundays Staff. The Entertainment on the friday was 3 ladies singing who were a bit out of tune and singing the usual 60's 70's garbage. When will people in charge realise the majority of people are young families and the music should be at least 80's if not more recent. So to sign of this review superb around park, prices a bit high and food generally lovely apart from the Sunday lunch. So if your looking for a lovely clean park pack your bags and get up to Scotland for a...

Booked a two week stay here for myself and my family. Seeing it was in a beautiful location really helped with the decision. However, upon arrival and getting to our caravan, we found it less than clean and the oven was absolutely filthy and unusable with leftover remnants of the previous tenants attempts at cooking still stuck to the grill mesh and the bottom of it. After failing to get anyone to pick up when I rang the helpline I went out and spoke to the security guard who said he would get someone round. About an hour or so passed when housekeeping arrived and proceeded to clean our oven, so thanks for that. They also supplied us with all the missing bowls plates and dishes that were nowhere to be found in the caravan. But we were still only left with one tray for two ovens. This did not make cooking easy. Other findings apart from thick dust were a whole packet of Skittles emptied down the side of the fridge, the fridge itself needing a wipe out and the bathrooms less than clean. We also found a shoe from a previous tenant under the bed which wouldn't have been there had the hoovering actually been done. So, what else could go wrong. We were promised a lovely warm pool after all. How wrong we were. The pool was cold. They then closed off one section of the pool one day claiming short staffing whilst four staff stood chatting at the front desk. Go figure. Every time we used the pool, despite having to book in via the app, it was still oversubscribed. Far too many people to enjoy the cold experience. The changing rooms are poorly designed and horribly cramped. The floor is filthy and they have the nerve to ask you to remove your shoes, which I did, wish I hadn't. One cubicle my son tried to enter even had blood up the wall. Now let's talk play passes, which you pay extra for when you book your holiday. Sure you get your cold swim for free and access to the 'showbar' which has the same repertoire on every night. How thrilling. Yet everything else there is a hidden charge for which again you pay for via the app. Bike riding, go karts which don't look fit for purpose being held together with bungee cords. An archery range that I didn't see open once, granted the weather wasn't great but we're not made of sugar. Security at the park was a bit of a non starter. The front is surrounded by a low stone wall which can easily be jumped and the barrier that is supposed to come down to stop cars coming in without the pass you hang in your window, well that never came down once in two weeks. One of my children even found an unattended chainsaw at one point with no staff around. Where is the health and safety there????? The laundrette is absolutely disgusting. It looks like it gets dusted maybe once every month or so, the machines are clogged with all kinds of residue and need a serious clean out. Also avoid those machines if you have a football shirt or anything with a nice print on it as the ones we washed have loads of damage to the printing which really isn't good enough, especially for how much we pay to use them

One of our party spent some nights sleeping on the sofa, of their own choice, and as a result of this they ended up with a nasty skin rash from whatever was used on those sofas previously.

I would not recommend this place for a stay of any length and especially not for families unless you have ridiculously...

We have visited Haven parks for years since I was a child and I now take my own children. I usually always have a great time, however, this year was different. I would never visit the Seton Sands park again.

Myself, my mum and my sister booked our holiday back in Feb for May this year. The day we booked we selected our caravans as I have 2 young children and wasn’t sure if my partner would make it due to work so wanted to be close for support. We also still have young kids that nap and so being next to each other allows us to sit outside together while they napped. I then got a phone call 5 weeks later to say that the caravan I had chosen was no longer available and they didn’t have any others for the same price all next to each other. I then ended up paying £115 in total to upgrade all of our caravans to be next to each other in a different area. When selecting the caravans on the map they looked as though they were straight across from each other and the third one to the side. However, when we arrived they were nothing like shown on the map and ours was actually a few down and we could not see ours from my mums or sisters. We went to reception to speak to them about moving. A member from the experience team said he would speak to head office and give us a phone. He tried to phone 10mins later, due to signal I missed the call and no voicemail was left. I phoned back 4 minutes later to be told he had left reception but they would ask him to phone when he got back. We never heard from him again the full week we were there. The caravans being different from the map meant I was left alone in mine every day while my baby napped and once they were both in bed at night.

We then went to the Boatie Blest restaurant the next day for dinner. We were there at 4:30pm and the restaurant was empty. The member of staff told us that they weren’t currently taking walk ins as there was only 2 of them working due to being short staffed, there was no mention of this on the app or when arriving etc. Had the restaurant been busy we would have understood but it was empty, it then meant there was 10 of us (6 adults and 4 kids) having to sort somewhere else for dinner. We had the chippy the previous night and it was undercooked and not great so we didn’t want to go back there.

There were a few other issues while there such as cutlery not being cleaned, floors still with crumbs etc so overall it was not a great experience. I did raise a complaint about the caravan placement and restaurant, however, received a generic reply today without so much as an apology.

The photo attached shows the map when selecting caravans. The one highlighted is ours, the two circled in black were my mum and sisters. However, when we arrived ours was much further down. In their email reply, I was told the map is just a guide and doesn’t actually confirm where the caravans will be - this is not made clear at all when selecting, my sister used our code so that they could choose to be next to us (as recommended to do on the Haven website). I would not have paid to choose my caravan if I knew I wouldn’t be next to them.

Definitely would not recommend...

me and my mum were coming here for a long weekend just for a little girly holiday today and we’ve already left. it’s a very nice location and all and staff are quite friendly and cooperative. but the cleaning staff in my eyes seem like they don’t care at all whether they’re cleaning their caravans right. when we walked into our caravan we immediately noticed how dirty and stained the carpets were. then as we looked around more, we noticed that it was disgusting! my mums bed had blood stains and my bed had hair all over it, it looked like it was hair from an animal (which animal hair we don’t really mind because we have pets), i lifted up this cushioned stool thing and found a squashed up dead bug and i physically revolted. and the worst thing of all… ants. i have really bad travel anxiety with things like bedbugs and ants to the point where ive bought a sleeping bag and pillows to take from our house because of how bad i get. they sent out a flyer saying there was ants and how to be aware and what to do to prevent and stop them, so they ARE aware that there are ants in their establishment. my mum is a cleaner herself and she suggests that the ants are likely also caused by the lack of cleanliness because me and my parents have been to many haven parks and not one has had ants. luckily the security were super nice and told us we could talk to reception tomorrow to try and possibly get a refund so that’s great! we are lucky in this situation that we live close by (only around 20 minutes away). also i am in the age range where i’m kinda too old now for the nighttime entertainment like the bradley bear club/seaside squad so i like to play in the arcades. there weren’t very many machines there either and i get that it’s a small caravan sight but it kinda felt like i was too old for most of the stuff and there was barely anything to do for people in my age range. thank you for reading my review😁 EDIT: they aren’t even giving my mum a refund!!! we spent £350 on that and left the same day and we aren’t even getting a partial refund. absolute joke we won’t be coming back!!!!

Was at seton sands holiday park, last weekend, from fri - mon. I booked a saver van, and it looks like we received a upgrade, the caravan was clean and tidy, we were Kings Barn 13. The caravan had 2 toilets, tv in the bedroom, a dishwasher, patio doors in the lounge, and bluetooth speaker in the lounge... the only fault with the caravan, was we were only given the keys for the patio door, so at night, it was hard to get back into the caravan. The site is well kept, it has swimming, a shop, the resturant, a soft play area, entertainment, and amusement, chip shop, waterfalls, a large lake, a play area. We had a problem with the lifeguards, ( 3 male) who thought is was acceptable to laugh at my disabled son, very unprofessional, i brpught it to the management attention. Also in the amusement, there was only one ticket machine working, which meant you had a long wait to cash your tickets in... there was only one lady on, and she was trying to fix the machines, and run the price shop. THe sunday roast in the boat house are large and very enjoyable, and the breakfast with the characters is great fun. The 26 bus leaves the enterance of the site, and takes 75 minutes to get to edinburgh, portebello beach is 11 miles away, and north bewick beach is 11 miles away, there is also a beach, across the road from the site. There is a lidi, co-op and a asda all within 10 minutes from the park, and a b & ms, chip shop near by. Can i also say, when we went to pay for our breakfast, the swimming pool management has settled the bill, as a way of saying sorry. All in all, a ok site, and the problems we had, good easily be fixed, with a more professional management team. Would i stay again 100% yes, would i recommend the again 100%, but i would tell people the 2 small problems we had.
