Maenllwyd Guest House — Hotel in Great Britain

What a gem of a place. An old dwelling in a lovely little town that is superbly fitted out inside. The rooms were very modern and fresh and the amenities and grounds were excellent. The breakfast was delicious and we were offered a wide choice of selection. We had the full Wlesh which kept us going as we were visiting a local bike park just up the round (Dyfi Bike Park). Will definitely be visiting again, the hosts were very nice people and the hotel has plenty of parking space and a huge garden to sit in. Its only a short walk into main part of town which has pubs, shops and places to eat. Close to a large COOP supermarket (2 min walk). Solo biking trip: Easy to locate and plenty of parking: Fire escape provides a secure point to chain bike to: check in was simple and efficient: Room had plenty of space, was clean, had brew making facilities, crisp fresh bedding: En-suite bathroom was large and again very clean: Plenty of fresh towels: Good sound insulation from windows: Breakfast 2bacon,2 sausage, egg, mushrooms, OJ, coffee & toast. All just right. Hosts were friendly and pleasant without being nosey or in your face. Easy walk into town. So great value and would recommend.|Could stay be improved? It was a privilege to stay here. The house is the owners childhood home and we were made to feel extremely welcome. A very short walk into Machynlleth town where you can find a small selection of eateries for dinner, along with a good sprinkling of shops. We stayed on route for the Snowdonia 360 on our motorbikes. There is plenty of parking at the rear of the house. Our room was room 7 at the top of the house, a lovely twin bedded room with a large bathroom. Towels and toiletries were provided.
