Newhall Mains — Hotel in Great Britain

Kenny and I had our wedding at Newhall on 22nd February 2022, all the 2's on a Too-sday(!), and from the initial enquiry to contact after the big day, Euan and Louisa couldn't have done enough for us.

We hired the entire venue and accomodation for 2 nights and also celebrated my daughters 18th the morning after our wedding. So very relaxed, everything went like clockwork and even the weather was kind to us!

The venue is absolutely beautiful as is the accomodation, everyone enjoyed their stay and drinks at the bar where Hannah was our personal star behind the bar, keeping everyone right and topped up, never forgetting what everyone's order was! No mean feat!

Newhall also have a supplier list with recommendations for all we could need for our wedding. Our venue 'dresser' and my dresser(!), my good friend Nicola at Eva's Covers enhanced the beautiful setting along with Amanda Call our lovely florist. Catering was supplied by the amazing and so talented Lunchbox Boys, Sam and Dougal, with our delicious cake and bakes made by the lovely Eilidh, owner at Little Croft Bakery.

Hair (and nails) were done by my brilliant hairdresser Elana MacLeod (Elanas Hair and Nails), and our perfect makeup done by the amazing Lisa Hart (Lisa Hart Makeup Artist) .

All our special memories were captured forever by the fantastic Andy Taylor Photography with videography by Thistle Productions (the lovely Ross & Anna). We had a great day's craic with you guys!

We would absolutely recommend Newhall for anyone wanting a short or long break away, or as THE place to consider if you're planning your wedding, big or small. We can't wait to have another shindig there as soon as we can plan it!

First class, Luv Mr and Mrs...

My partner and I stayed here for a sunny weekend in September and it was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. Mr Ramsay was a fantastic host, attending to our every need and giving us a tour of the local area. The Mains has been beautifully re-decorated with lots of charming touches, and it was a struggle not to photograph every detail! We stayed in one of the cottages where there was a welcome hamper (delicious local bread, butter, milk etc) on arrival. The bedrooms are comfortable, practical (lots of coat hooks and hangars!) and quiet. I have not slept that well in a long time! They were also warm and cosy, although we were extremely lucky with the Scottish weather for our stay (sunshine and T-shirt weather in the days!). The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering (including a Nespresso coffee machine, all your usual condiments and sharp knifes for cutting onions!), and overlooks the beautiful Mains courtyard on one side. The shared spaces (main hall/event space and bar) are very stylish and Mr Ramsay also has excellent skills as a mixologist (I would recommend his Moscow Mule). I would love to have a party there one day! The grounds around the Mains are also beautiful and it was lovely to explore the Black Isle. I could not recommend this place more. We will...

We are currently staying at Newhall Mains. The service is so friendly and the property is absolutely stunning! Rafaella greeted us and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. She checked in with us multiple times to ensure that everything was perfect. Our room is cottage inspired design and has a full kitchen, washing machine & dryer, a living room, a dressing room and separate bedroom upstairs. The fireplace wood was replenished each day so we were able to have a nice little fire each evening. This is truly a special place! We met JD who was walking the grounds and he provided us with good local directions. He is very kind and showed us some of the amenities on the property. Nasi the bartender provided great drinks and conversation. We felt as if we had the place to ourselves on the Sunday night! We met the lovely Beth on our final evening in the restaurant. She let us know that she was really happy to be part of the team, and seemed very kind! Because of our beautiful experiences at Newhall Mains, we have vowed to return once again, and next time with family and/or friends because we know they’d enjoy it too!
