Spruce at Newhall Mains — Restaurant in Great Britain

A superb dinner in an elegant yet unpretentious environment. The bar area is gorgeous and relaxed with a great offering of cocktails and other drinks. I had contacted the restaurant prior to going to ask if they offered vegan options. They confirmed and when we arrived, they presented us with a wholly vegan menu. We ordered one of everything. It was a splendidly vegetables-focused meal, expertly executed in flavours and presentation. The service was warm, polished and again utterly unpretentious. Even the music playlist was brilliant. Overall, 10/10 no notes. This is a welcome addition to the Highlands....

There are some buildings you just fall in love with at first sighting. Newhall Mains is certainly one. The building has a tremendous history and situation. The food is delicious and not expensive. The staff are friendly, efficient and professional. The only hotel in the UK with its own airstrip. Have to say it’s the best meal I have had in Scotland. Fantastic service, food, and cocktails/wine list. You can tell it’s a restaurant that the owners take pride in and it’s truly a joy to get to...
