Redlands Country Lodge — Hotel in Great Britain

We stayed in the Wee Bothy cottage with a private hot tub. The cottage was absolutely lovely, sparkling clean, loved the eco-friendly cleaning products and we really enjoyed the hot tub. Hosts were very nice and accommodating and Katie the horse is very friendly. However, the internet was pretty patchy, and when working it was not good enough for streaming any television like Netflix or NowTV off the Chromecast. The television is also the smallest I have seen in like 20 years - essentially the size of a computer monitor. It is too small to be able to see from the sofa, and the metal folding chairs were terribly uncomfortable to sit on longer term to watch TV. Having a larger TV and a more comfortable sitting area would definitely make the evenings at the cottage a lot more cozy. They accept dogs, although not really dog friendly as the dog is not allowed anywhere else than in the cottage and on the small patio at the back. Doggy toilet trips need done outwith the property which involves walking on a country road without a sidewalk, so I can imagine it can be pretty dangerous in the winter taking your dog out first thing in the morning when it...

Alan and Kate are the lovely couple who run the lodges and were very approachable and welcoming, will go that extra mile in making your stay everything you want it to be. Cabins are very clean and comfortable and have everything you need in them as well as a lovely hot tub for relaxing and so many places you can enjoy within driving distance. They recommend a beach in Tentsmuir sands (about 25 min drive) which also has an amazing forest you can enjoy as well, it's £2 to get in but well worth it. Our time there it was idiot free (which is a blessing from some other beach's I know), with just people out walking their dogs, having BBQs or just relaxing enjoying the sun. Alan & Kate also recommended a lovely Inn for us to go to for an Italian meal at the Kettlebridge Inn which we loved, summed up an amazing place to stay, plenty of places to drive to, a golden nugget of a place we will definitely be going back to and recommend, thanks Kate and Allan. Exactly what we were looking for. This is a home away from home, felt like moving in instead of checking in. Loved every second being in the wee bothy (even extended our stay by 3 nights). Lovely couple that own the land were very friendly and made us feel so welcome. The cottage itself is very modern but cosy! Ideal honeymoon spot (private hot tub was an added bonus, brand new and spotless). Even added privacy with having a field behind.. apart from Katie the horse coming to say hello every now and then! Easy to work heating system, robes for use, and brandnew smart tv. Cottage has everything included you can imagine.. even fresh eggs from the chickens on our door step! Our dog loved the stay with great walks round about and a lovely local pub with great food about a 20 minute walk away....
