My friend and I spent just one night at Springfield Hotel but wish we could have stayed longer! ||The hotel is so well positioned just off the A55 and with a car park which is spacious so no problem to find a space The welcome from the receptionist was warm and friendly and she showed us where all the facilities were including the spa, restaurant and to where our room was located. ||We’d booked through Spaseekers which included a 50 minute spa treatment each. I had chosen a back massage whereas Sara chose a full body massage. Thank you to both beauticians as we were both very impressed with the treatments. ( sorry I’ve forgotten your names!). The outside hot tub was next on the agenda and as you sit in there you have a wonderful view over the estuary. Our twin bedded room was clean and suited our needs- one small suggestion perhaps a mini fridge could be included, but overall our room was perfect. We enjoyed an excellent dinner in their lovely restaurant where the staff were very attentive. If you’re a burger lover, try theirs as it was so tasty and juicy! The next morning for breakfast we were offered a great choice of both hot and cold foods on the buffet. Again the attentive manager ensured we had freshly made fried eggs to add to our already full plates. ||What a great time we had and I’m so pleased we chose Springfield Hotel for our night away. ORIGINAL: We’ve left 5 stars on the room and location as we can’t comment but we had a really upsetting experience with the reception staff on trying to have our booking rearranged or cancelled.
My wife is currently having chemotherapy and has recently taken ill, this resulted in it being delayed and meant we couldn’t travel. We’re unsure when she will be well again.
We called reception the week before to request a refund, to which they told us as we booked for booking.com, we would have to go through them. Booking.com team were lovely, and kindly wrote a request with the circumstances we were in and sent this to Springfield Hotel. Sadly they denied the request and sent us a message back saying we cannot offer a refund but we can rebook. I explained we cannot rebook, as we don’t know when my wife will be better as she has surgery and potentially more treatment to come and we’d be happy to foot any charges from booking.com. To which we were sadly ignored by the reception staff and I’ve attached our interaction in the photos.
