Incredible location stunning views of the rolling hills. Amazing walks nearby would highly recommend the Sheep’s trail walk (keep your eyes peeled for live stock. Local amities in Tyndrum ideal if you need to stock up on a few things and only about 35 minute walk along west highland way or a 10 minute drive.
There was a few things me and my partner were disappointed in. For example the website states that there is a TV room on site but yet we couldn’t see anything or any signs pointing us in the direction of so called “TV” room. The website also mentions there are two dinning rooms but yet we only found one that’s inside the kitchen and would only fit a few people in it. The on site farm shop doesn’t really have any essentials (i.e. milk, bread,) so that’s a massive let down.
From reading up on a few reviews before are arrival we saw a few negative reviews about “unfriendly” staff and if I have to be totally honest we did see a paying customer Unfortunately have a not so nice interaction with the French guy (we think he’s the manager). We even felt a little uncomfortable after we witnessed this event.
The site definitely needs to be updated ASAP. It’s pretty rundown if I’m being totally honest and the way it’s being run I won’t be surprised if it closes down within the year. They call themselves a 3* site more like a 1* in my opinion.
Such a shame the site isn’t great and management isn’t very friendly as where the place is located...
Read moreArrived on Saturday 30/04/22, to be greeted by an arrogant French man complaining that ‘it is only me I can’t do everything at once’…. Not hello, good afternoon or how are you doing, instantly set the weekend off on the wrong tone. ||||Followed up by then charging our group further money on top of the +£300 for 2 nights, for an 18month baby staying in the group too. Again, top dollar customer service. ||||Furthermore, then challenges the wood we have brought with us (dried logs) and instructs wood must be bought from the shop - sounds to me like a good money maker. ||||Get to the wigwam and the door doesn’t work, call the arrogant French man and he says he will be with us shortly he is ‘busy’. Meets us at one of the wigwams (which didn’t have the broken door) which I told him I would as we weren’t sure how long he would be, then the arrogant French man then argued about what was said on the phone. Another strike on the board for top dollar customer service. ||||Then after bashing the door with his body, looks at me and says ‘see no problem it is locked’, again top dollar customer service and the obvious method for locking a door is to put your full body weight behind it. ||||Arrogant staff, shocking customer service, wigwams ok - will not return and will ensure the message is spread far and wide for others not to be...

After our plan to wild camp didn't work out we came to that camping around 7pm without pre-booking a place. I would have understood if the place wasn't available to book that late at night.
However near the main office there was a note "after 6pm, to book a place call a number...". So we called. The person on the other side on the line sounded annoyed, but said he was coming. He appeared from the nearby house and opened an office. After that he made a speech about how everywhere it is understaffed in Scotland and that we should have called him in advance. There was another couple there at the time, who also arrived late. We were completely unrelated to them. They were still outside when we entered the office. Before processing our reservation, the camping manager ordered us (literally "go and do..." without even "could you please" form) to go and fetch them, and to tell them, that either they come in immediately, or he will return to his dinner, and if anyone calls him after that, "you might hear some unpleasant words".
Also, the shower is not free in this camping, you need to pay a pound for 8 minutes of use. (So if you don't have suitable coins, no shower for you)
The location is great though, with a wide mountain view. There are tables, benches and fire pits on the...
