A Hidden Gem with Heart!
Tucked away with quiet charm in an old repurposed Church, Artisan Cafe & Deli offers more than just a meal—it’s a gentle invitation to slow down and savour. From the moment you step inside, the warm welcome and curated ambiance hint at a place where quality and care take centre stage.
The menu strikes a lovely balance between comfort and creativity. Whether it’s a perfectly brewed flat white or a generously filled sourdough sandwich, each item feels thoughtfully assembled. I especially appreciated the attention to detail—fresh ingredients, well-paced service, and presentation that’s both rustic and refined.
What sets Artisan apart is its sense of place. It’s not trying to be trendy—it’s trying to be true. The deli counter is a quiet delight, with local cheeses and charcuterie that invite exploration. And if you’re lucky enough to visit on a quieter afternoon, the soft hum of conversation and clink of cups create a kind of gentle rhythm that’s rare to find.
Ideal for a relaxed solo visit or a catch-up with friends, this is the kind of spot that earns repeat visits. Artisan Cafe & Deli doesn’t shout—it whispers, and it does so...
Read moreI visited this many years ago when I believe it had just opened, and to be honest, I was not impressed. However, jump to the present and what a difference. The cafe is an old Church of Scotland Church which looks quite picturesque from the outside, where there is some seating when the weather is pleasant and the midges aren't bitting. 🦟 When I went inside, all the tables were full and I had to wait a few minutes for a table. The atmosphere was convivial, warm and friendly. I only had tea and cake, my usual before heading into the hills, which was very nice. However, I did hear other customers commenting on how nice the food was. When I checked the menu board, they had a nice range of appetising food. As part of the cafe, they sell small a range of nice gifts and beautifully locally spun wool. Good job my partner wasn't here, or she would have been buying it up. There is easy wheelchair access and facilities. My only small issue is that the gents loo was a bit smelly. However, having said that, I would return. The staff were nice and friendly, the food was good and the ambience was comfortably welcoming. What's...
Read moreThis is without doubt the most pleasant café I have been to in my life. Yes, I know that’s some statement but everything about this place is magical. It sits off the busy A82, the main road to the West Highlands but if you blink you’ll miss it, and believe me you don’t want to miss it. The café itself is a converted old church sitting amongst wonderful views and twittering birds. The ambiance doesn’t get any better than this, we sat outside because it was a beautiful sunny day but the inside was equally charming. The food was simply sublime (we had a sausage sandwich with honey mustard and the ploughman’s sandwich) honestly, food prepared this well and this tasty is very hard to find but this wee café delivered effortlessly. The staff were excellent, prompt and courteous service with a smile. If you’re heading up North and fancy a bite to eat I implore you to visit the Artisan, I guarantee you will be so glad you did. At time of writing the café is closed Tuesday and Wednesday so take that...
