We have had an absolutely lovely week here. So quiet and peaceful. The owners are lovely. Welcomed us and available anytime but also left us to get on with our holiday. The cottage situated half a mile down a track is just perfect. Close by to the owners house but far enough away. Looking out onto the old chapel... absolutely perfect and beautiful setting. The cottage itself is well set out with quality fixtures and fittings and very comfy and comfortable beds as well. Lots to do in the area as well. Can't recommend enough and I'm sure...

High quality Self-catering accommodation in an idyllic location run by the most welcoming owners, who clearly believe in neither cutting corners, nor overlooking the finer detail.

Great walks are but a step away, and the village has a great pub (the Railway Tavern), and Italian Restaurant, both well worth a visit.

I haven't visited either the Chinese restaurant or fish and chip shop ... Yet, but have heard good things about both.

A very well appointed cottage, great location, quiet, peaceful and welcoming. Great care and thought has been put into the facilities and equipment provided. We used it as a base for visits to Beamish Living Museum of the North, four half day visits in one week all on one discounted ticket. The views are wonderful, there are walks aplenty from the front door and the Stunts could not do more to make us feel relaxed. Our only regret is that we had to leave...
