Weekend camping / walking on Snowdon. ||||Very rude, abrupt welcome soon as we arrived.||The owner really needs people skills and treat customers with a warm welcome, rather than instigate bad feeling. To which I had to step in to the conversation and ask the owner to calm down, his attitude totally was out of order.||||On top of this there was a sign in the toilet / shower block (which I have uploaded as a photo here). It stated.||||"Showers||Due to an electrical issue, we have to choose between Pizza ovens & Showers.||Pizza Won.||So between 4:15 - 8:30pm Fri &Sat Showers are not turned on, Sorry"||||So after 8hrs of tough walking / day in bad conditions over Snowdon, to come back to the camp site and see that sign, is an absolute joke. Peak time from returning from walks and cant use them.||||I confronted the owner and asked if this was a prank, and from his nasty response it clearly was not. Personally, I see showers, just like wash basins and toilets, these are basic amenities that should be provided when ever you need them, without any conditions, especially selling pizza to the general public. ||||The owner said that "the sign was funny and everyone thinks its funny and i'm the only one to ever complain about it" This i find hard to believe, as all persons in our party were unhappy about this. I offered the aggressive owner the option to ask the rest of the party if they thought this was funny, after the tough hikes, but he bluntly refused the open invitation.||||We had a table booked for 7pm in llanberis, which meant no shower again. ||||Clearly its not an electrical issue as it states on the sign, the days and time of the issue regularly occurring. Sounds more like an electrical installation / distribution issue., but If there is a genuine electrical issue, possibly the safety, urgently needs an investigation by a qualified professional. ||||100% will not return the this literally SHOWER of s@@t.||Now that's funny. ||||Tips.||ps. Buy a book on manners and advertise your sign on your website so people know, when they book. I...

Lovely site for wildlife and swimming. The plunge pool is great for swimming, deep clear water is accessed by a ladder or swim up/down the river. While i swam a kingfisher flew back and forth, a heron perched in a tree and fish could be seen jumping or flies, perfect. The pitches are mown from a meadow with some wild flowers and well spaced out, butterflies and bees were flitting about. Later on we watched a mole come out of the long grass looking for food before retreating down a hole, owls could also be heard. There is a lovely walk from the campsite to LLanberis. Booked at short notice, i was told to call when i arrive, the call was answered promptly and i was shown to my pitch, supplied with an adapter and told where the plunge pool / showers etc are by a friendly owner. The facilities were clean but I've knocked one star off because the small shared shower/toilet block made me feel uncomfortable , i would rather have separate male and...

Private pitches & Very laid back approach!

We arrived at 7:30pm and called Ted (the owner) who quickly answered and appeared within seconds to show us to our pitch. Amazing first evening with amazing views. Pitch lovely and natural with your own fire pit………. Then the rain came. We were forecasted an amber weather warning for 2 days and experienced some leaks in the tent. We called ted the owner for some help and he quickly came and gave us some tarp so that we didn’t get soaked. Best customer service ever. Highly recommend. Really laid back vibe. Will be coming back when the suns back out……. And when pizza is on 🥳🥳 10 star

Edit: toilet and shower facilities were immaculate. Fridge, washing machine and washing up facilities all available for free. This is a back to basic camping site which is on the river and has amazing views and cheap prices. Just book it...

This place was just bliss. Despite being fully booked, the plots are far enough apart that you don’t feel on top of each other. The river was just beautiful. Fully recommend taking a paddle board or kayak, or using the 3 seater canoe available on site and going for a slow paddle down through the lake and river. The owner was really friendly and gave us great information. It’s dog friendly too which is a bonus. Only slight negative is the distance to the toilets/showers gets a little annoying, especially at night. Take a decent torch!
