A lovely medium size campsite with two parks and amenity blocks never far away. Very clean and tidy, very friendly staff and reasonably priced well stocked shop. There no club house which was a plus for us. Neither though are there any place to grab a takeaway on a night you don't fancy cooking. The site advertises pizza and fish and chips but this is a mobile wagon that only arrives early evening on a Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. Staying for a weekend and you won't see these. The pub is a cute little arrangement, and when we say little it is tiny. Room for 6 seated indoors with a small beer garden for about 25 outside. Again it's limited hours 5-9pm but again we liked that. Location wise is also a draw but equally it's down side. It's seems far from the main road but the road noise is definitely something you can hear, certainly in a tent. It's also remote enough so you feel like you have gotten away from it all (road noise aside). You have a Lidl and Morrisons supermarket a short drive away too so never far from any forgotten essentials or supplies. It's main negative (which could be another plus) is that it is not in walking distance to anywhere. Not with a family at least but hikers may relish the coastal walk. With a 5 year old it was a car trip everywhere. The nearest beach is a 10 min drive to Crantock. Parking is a nightmare and expensive at ÂŁ8 a day in a private field. It's half price in the later hours. It is next to a National Trust car park but this is small. Both fill very quickly and on a nice day at the weekend or holidays both were at capacity by 10am.

We have just spent 2 weeks here in a private rented caravan so have not dealt with the site as a company themselves. It's a nice small site and very clean and well maintained. There are 3 ponds to fish from if you want to or you can walk round them as it's quite nice. There is a small kids play area but we were reluctant to let ours on there most of the time with how busy it was and most of the kids were too old to be on there. The pool is ok, it's small and shallow. Is isn't monitored and we noticed alot of kids there without adult supervision so alot of unruly kids being too rough and messing around. There also aren't enough poolside chairs so we took our own. It could also do with a small toilet on the side as it's a bit of a walk to the van for the loo unless you go in a block. The on site takeaway was closed for some reason but they had a catering van on site instead. The pub was the smallest pub in crantock which is their claim to fame but it's got outside seating and we had a nice few drinks there. I was disappointed with the site for having no recycling available and we had to throw away so much recyclable material in the general waste. Another criticism is that it also has the worst shop on site we have ever seen. It really is pretty embarrassing for a site of its age and size to have such a small selection of food and drinks available. Basically if you need anything go to the Lidl or Morrisons 5 minutes away. Despite the negatives this is a lovely site and we would go back again in a caravan.

Belonging to Park Holidays this park is set on the hills in Crantock near Newquay,Cornwall. It's a quiet type park with minimal facilities. They have a micropub open 5-9 pm and a food truck open for just an hour in the evening over 5 days. There is a mini mart on site open until 4 pm and 5 pm on a couple of nights. The park has some lovely lakes with fishing available. When I took a stroll round them, all I could hear was the peaceful sound of nature. I saw a number of birds including geese with goslings and a duck with ducklings The site has good facilities for campers with glamping pods too and hook up for RV's. My caravan was clean and in good condition. I paid ÂŁ148 for a four night stay in June. This was for a two bedroom Gold Plus caravan with a decking. It's possible to sleep up to six people using the pull out bed in the lounge so great value . If you love it here, they have caravans for sale, just visit the on site sales office. There are beaches just a few minutes away along with a pub. Newquay is the main town just ten minutes away with a Sainsbury's and a Morrisons with fuel station. Newquay has pubs, restaurants and takeaways including McDonald's so you won't go hungry and don't have to spend a fortune. I found plenty to do in the area and have put up reviews for those. Definitely an area I would happily return to and I would stay here again

I'm going to go for the positives first.... Camping Experience, large tent 2 Adults with electric. We are regular campers and been to many different sites around the country. 1st Visit to this site. The site is huge and very well maintained. Clean, tidy, and has ameanaties. It's in a fantastic quiet location, and the pitch sizes are some of the biggest we have had, all the main places you want to go are well within an easy 20 min drive or you can catch a bus at the top of the site. They have a good quality Pizza and fish and chip van on site Monday, Wednesday, and Saturdays. Lovely little pub on site.. the smallest in Crantock... One person at a time and a lovely little beer garden to sit and enjoy it in. 2 lovely fishing lakes which are nice to walk around, small launderette on site, heated outdoor swimming pool, polite and helpful staff, So all in all a lovely site. Now for some Negatives which I feel for a site this size could be easily fixed. On Site shop..poorly maintained, not enough stock, not overly clean and full of a lot of disorganised tut, could be a great and really useful shop. The games area for the kids, half the stuff not working, out of date and neglected, a real shame for the kids because again could be great little area. Crazy golf course on site, again poorly maintained, needs fixing and again could be really good for families. My biggest complaint about this site is the showering facilities, as mentioned the site is huge and must hold in excess of 400 people with all camping pitches and also the glamping tents and pods available when busy in peak season. In the Men's area you have only 5 very small shower cubicles which are near on impossible to get sorted in, no where to sit and get changed and put shoes worn to go there, everything gets soaked, so easier to just shower go back to the tent to get dried and changed and then back to cubicles to finish off cleaning teeth, shaving, hair, a long process which doesn't need to be, they need totally replacing and sorting and have more than enough space around to sort this problem and in return will get rid of alot of the same complaints. They again are not overly clean and signs around saying they are regularly cleaned are not true. They wasn't cleaned for 2 days whilst we were there and when they did get cleaned it wasn't done well. The women's have less showers and the same problems as the men's. Another thing we were not keen on was site access, there is no-one checking who comes in and out of the site and on 2 occasions being opposite the shower blocks we witnessed off site people ( Traveller community) drive in and off load the family out of a car and use the shower blocks, and leave a mess when they had been in and drive off again. These little issues really let the site down and could so easily be a 5 Star site if someone actually paid attention to these small things and did something about them, especially when so many of the reviews all mention the same things. That being said we will still return, but until these little issues are sorted they won't get the 5 stars it...

To start with, we have previously been to this caravan park 4 times, this would have been out 5th time. We were truly disgusted on arrival, the gas bottles for the caravan were empty, the electric fire didn’t work (When switched on, it only stayed on for no more than 60 seconds then would cut off and blow cold air out). The caravan was disgusting on arrival inside and out, Dirty and stained bed sheets in the double bedroom, the carpet looked as if it hadn’t been hoovered for weeks. Lucky enough we brought our own cordless vacuum which we got a bin full of fluff, hair, crisps ect just from the double bedroom floor. That wasn’t all. The shower didn’t drain. The sink plug in the bathroom was stuck in and also didn’t drain, so when brushing our teeth, water would sit for at least 30 minutes. Outside light didn’t work (which eventually got semi-fixed by the maintenance, but it was not a safe fix) The grill didn’t stay lit. Electric fire didn’t work, we were told there would be an electrician coming on Monday the 28th October, which never showed, so we were without the fire for a hole week of our holiday. So we went every night cold, the first 2 nights we sat in our coats, with blankets on trying to keep warm, which we were not happy with at all. All we got told by the reception is that it was “that time of year where it was cold” talking to us like we didn’t know ( very patronising). Holiday manager wasn’t taking us seriously with us being young, we informed her we had a family member with disabilities, who is trying to avoid any kind of infection/illness They provided us with an electric heater which wasn’t much use as the plug was getting very hot to the point where you couldn’t touch it and we were concerned it may fire and this was NOT PAT TESTED. (Which is a government regulation) one of our family members is an electrician and was disgusted himself by the poor electrical conditions. We found a slug in one of the single beds. The caravan was absolutely disgusting. I do not recommend this caravan park to anyone, it has gone down hill from what it was a couple of years ago. We completely understand that it was the end of season but this is beyond a joke for the price we paid. We also asked specifically for a luxury caravan and on arrival were put in a ‘comfort’ caravan, which is not what we paid or asked for, this was down to the Holiday manager in reception again. We were more than happy to pay an upgrade price for another caravan but this was never offered to us. We were also told by the holiday manager that they could not move us due to there being no other caravans available, which we knew was a lie as we’ve seen a lot of empty pet friendly caravans that they could of moved us too. Yes... I can honestly say this has been the worst stay and will not be returning to Travella park. The accommodation has gone down hill and so have the...

My experience at Trevella Park was nothing short of appalling, marked by blatant discrimination and an unacceptable display of racism that left my family feeling unwelcome and deeply hurt. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that we were being treated differently from other guests solely based on our skin color. We witnessed other families freely enjoying their time, flying kites with their children, and naturally, we assumed our kids could do the same. However, the moment our children started using their kites, a worker abruptly yelled at them, stating that kite flying was not allowed. What made this situation even more distressing was that other families were allowed to continue flying their kites without any intervention from the staff. This selective enforcement of rules was a glaring example of the discriminatory treatment we endured throughout our stay.

The situation only worsened when we attempted to set up our tent. The workers rudely interrupted us, claiming that the noise we were making was unacceptable. It's absurd to expect complete silence when setting up a tent, yet we were singled out and admonished for it. Meanwhile, other guests were making noise without any repercussions from the staff. The final straw was when one of the workers began taking photos of us and, most disturbingly, our children without our consent. When we confronted him, he dismissively claimed he was "texting Lewis," as if that somehow justified his invasive and inappropriate behavior. This excuse only added to our sense of frustration and disbelief, as it was clear we were being targeted and harassed. The worker's actions were not only unprofessional but also deeply offensive, and we were left feeling violated and disrespected.

When we expressed our concerns, rather than offering an apology or rectifying the situation, the staff threatened to kick us out of the park without a refund for the slightest perceived infractions. This was the epitome of unfair treatment, especially when we observed that other guests who were making far more noise and also flying kites were not subjected to the same threats. It was evident that we were being treated unjustly because of our race, which is completely unacceptable in any setting, let alone at a family-friendly park. The entire experience at Trevella Park was a distressing ordeal that no one should have to endure. The blatant discrimination and racism we faced have left us deeply disappointed and angry. This place should be avoided at all costs by anyone who values fairness...
