The Offbeat Bar & Kitchen Crantock — Restaurant in England

Amazing evening! We are staying on the (brilliant) site and booked a table. Our plans changed (hungry children with a craving for pizza) so we explained to the lovely staff that we needed to move our table to a different night- the staff we happy to help. We went to the village and to Jam Jar. We were fobbed off by rude staff and waited with 3 other families for over 30mins only to be told they had run out of dough and turned away. Cue a mad rush back up the hill with crossed fingers that Offbeat would be able to accommodate us after all! We were not disappointed! They could not have been more accommodating! And the food!! Genuinely delicious! We had the tastiest house made hand rolled cheesy garlic bread to kick off along with fresh nachos with creamy guacamole! Then we moved on to homemade burgers grilled to perfection and a steak that was delish. The kids were thrilled with their food which was generous and tasty (chicken goujons and almost-adult size burgers) Skin on chips- 10/10! All finished off with authentic espresso martinis. Have tried several things on the menu during our stay and absolutely everything has been delicious. We'll presented with staff who are attentive and more than happy to assist with our son who quite literally made his own menu and was quite specific with everything. They went above and beyond to ensure our daughter had a lovely birthday. Drinks are well presented and you've absolutely got too try a glass of Pimms on a hot afternoon looking out into the breathtaking scenery.

DOGS allowed while for us is a huge bonus!

The toilets and entire premises were immaculate each time we went in.

Well what can I say. Absolutely great bar, very very cool decor, happy smiley staff, splendid variety of drinks for all tastes and the food, oh yes, the food. I visited with a group of five friends and we all tried something different, and all the meals came out perfectly cooked. My wife had steak which was cooked to perfection and for that alone to be served at the same time as the other meals and all perfect, well thats just genious. And I really can't believe how reasonably priced it all was. Anyone visiting Crantock, or actually Newquay or the surrounding area and looking for a little gem, visit. You will not be disappointed.
