Ordered my bed January 4th just after we had gone into lockdown, was told 4-6 weeks for delivery. Called end of Feb as had heard nothing to be told it would now be April.... I weren't very happy to have to wait that long but just another 4 weeks-ish so agreed. Called early April as again had heard nothing to be told it will now be 4th May, I was really not happy now and said this wasn't acceptable I would have a refund and go elsewhere to be told they don't give refunds, and the reason it was so late was because of corona virus.... When I questioned why corona virus was the excuse I would be waiting 4 months the woman said "don't tell me you don't believe in it, it is real and it's the reason the bed is delayed" I told her not to patronize me of course I believe it's real but why was it the excuse for my bed taking 16 weeks not 4-6 like I was originally told. She said because the manufacturers have been closed obviously like most shops around the country so I would have to wait until they opened again. I asked her if the manufacturer was closed because of the lockdown why did they A) accept my order and B) tell me it would be 4-6 weeks knowing the lockdown was for much longer than that! I said again I would have my money back as I had found a bed I could have delivered In 2 days from elsewhere but again was told I couldn't have a refund and I should go to their shop and look for another bed. I went to the shop that afternoon, couldn't find another bed I liked and went to find the manager. I have never met such a rude obnoxious man with such bad manners or customer service skills!! I explained the situation and again said corona virus is not a good enough excuse and if they had told me in the first place that the bed was going to be at least 16 weeks I wouldn't have ordered it. He basically said it was tough, I couldn't have a refund and they had spoken to the company the bed was coming from and it will be with them by 19th May..... now not 4th but 19th!! I told the man if it weren't delivered by then I would be contacting trading standards and would want my money back, he said it will be here. 1st week of May I had a call to say my bed had arrived early....... and they could deliver later that week. Not wanting to blow my top at the "Bed has arrived early" comment I thanked them politely and paid my balance, only to be called the day before delivery to be told they had been sent the wrong size bed and now it will be May 28th before they receive it!!!! To say I was fuming was an understatement but absolutely no point in arguing with them as it gets you nowhere but again told her this was their last chance to get me the bed I ordered or I would be demanding a refund and take the issue further. Still no call on 28th so left it until after the bank holiday weekend to call and finally was told they could deliver Thursday, so practically 5 months to the day I have now received the bed I ordered!! Never again will I order from Trio Furnishings and will never recommend them to anyone either, the manager needs to learn some manners and a course in customer service skills for both him and his sister who answers the phone wouldn't go a miss either!!...
   Read moreWe bought a two mattresses from Trio after my husbands hip replacement in September 2016, as we wanted good mattresses for his hip and my knee replacement problems. We paid £199 each for them. We sleep in 3 foot singles pushed together. Unfortunately these mattresses, with a one year guarantee from Trio and a four year guarantee from the manufacturer, wore out earlier this year. We struggled with them for a few months and in July we told Trio about the problem and asked if we could have a refund. They said they could only replace the mattresses. After numerous visits and phone calls throughout August to find out how soon we would receive the new ones, we gave up and bought new ones elsewhere about three weeks ago. The old Trio mattresses are piled up in our spare bedroom now, annoyingly taking up space that could be used for something else. Today at 5.15, after taking the day off work because Trio said the mattresses would be in their warehouse today and making a couple of phone calls, I went to the shop. The man there was incredibly rude. Apparently the new ones only arrived there about an hour ago, too late to deliver of course and the delivery van was in Oswestry anyway. I explained the situation and he didn't want to know. he even said that the wrapping off the new ones when delivered would be taken off and put on the old mattresses, knowing that we won't be using the new ones and that we have to try and find some way of selling them on. How you can take a compressed wrapping off a memory foam mattress and put it on another one, I have no idea. Over the last 30 years or so, I have persuaded my parents, my 85 year old mother-in-law, my grown up children and even now my grandchildren, to buy their furniture from Trio. But ask yourself this. If you bought a product from a shop that was unsatisfactory, would you want your money back? Or would you want them to give you the exact same thing again? In future we will ALL shop...
   Read moreSo after waiting 18 weeks, we now have a sofa đ Just love it đ Sofa was ordered back in June 2020 from Trio Furnishings Ketley. We were told a 8/10 week wait because of the virus. My partner phoned them after week 10 and we were told 10/14 weeks. Because of the dam virus. Then after week14 my partner called again. Coincidentally they had just received an email that morning and gave him a date. We were told 20th of October. I went up on the morning of 20th to pay the outstanding payment, but it still wasnât in the shop!!!!! I understand the world at the moment and me and my partner have suffered more ways than others, It been hard for a lot of families. The way the staff at Trio have treated us well they should be ashamed of themselves they call themselves professional sales people. I WILL NEVER step foot in that place for as long as I live. Not once did we get a call to tell us itâs been delayed longer and how the little blonde lady spoke to me on the morning of the 20th (Itâs called Covid in a sarcastic voice !!!!) Was absolutely disgraceful and she should be ashamed of herself (for the things she said) Not once did we get a phone call And no one seemed bothered that we didnât have a sofa and have been waiting for so long. The whole attitude is disgusting. They wouldnât take responsibility and repeatedly blamed the supplier. Iâm not saying donât get anything from there but please be careful. Only put a small deposit down. So when youâre let down you wonât lose much money because you will get let down !!!!!! Note . After talking to other people about my Problem with Trio.
