XscapeNow — Local services in Great Britain

XscapeNow is one of my all-time favourite escape room centres. The rooms are impeccably crafted, and the staff are always helpful and kind.

The Book of Magic is the first room I played there, in July 2021. Going in, my group of three knew that it’s marked as the most challenging room and that four or more players is recommended. We managed to escape, with just seconds to spare. It was such an incredibly fun room to do though.

Runaway Train is the next room I took on, this time with a group of six, in August 2021. We all had an amazing time. The theme is on-point, and there are some very unique and fun puzzles in this one.

The Attic is the third room I played, in October 2021. I went back with the two players I accompanied back in July, and we managed to solve this room with only a few minutes remaining. Also, I just really love Gregg’s design. He’s super cute!

I also really appreciate the fact that XscapeNow has seasonal rooms, such as The Great Elf Escape in December 2021. I went in with a team of 6, and we were all occupied getting things done the whole time before we escaped. It’s great to have rooms where there are enough things to do at once for groups, that way people aren’t just standing around waiting for a puzzle to be solved just to move on to the next bit.

I’m very much looking forward to coming back and playing the other available rooms. I really can’t recommend...

My husband & I have done over 80 rooms now & these are some of the best we've found. My husband proposed to me here in "Step into Wonderland" by adding a final puzzle with the ring in. These guys never fail to disappoint. The theming is incredible, the rooms are immersive, the artwork is wonderful, the puzzles are logical & well thought out. The owners put their hearts & minds into their business & it really shows in the quality of their rooms. We have loved every room that we've played here (Wonderland, Book of Magic, Oz, Runaway Train, Sweeny Todd, Battleships). If you're a total beginner, youll love them! Booked on Easter Sunday to attend 'The Bank Job' on the Monday as a spontaneous decision. Friend had an emergency on the night which meant she couldn't travel in the morning to attend. I ring first thing on Monday morning to try to reschedule and I was blankly told that: No, you cannot reschedule. Even though I was asked for a reason (which is strange). Understandable if every slot on that day was taken and high in demand (the odds of someone else booking that specific slot in that time frame would've been like no other) but that wasn't the case. Now that I'm £48 lighter, maybe you should take a £10 deposit and the remainder upfront or even allow for 1 reschedule....
