Spent the week in Parkdean Warmwell with my family and what a lush 4 days we had. This our third time at this site over the past few years. We arrived a little early and they were fine with us checking in. We had booked a 3 bedroom lodge and upon checking had a lovely complimentary upgrade. The Lodge was perfect we we're in 177, 2 twin rooms and 1 double with plenty of heating like, a fully equipped kitchen and 2 settees in front of a lovely warm fire which was must needed in February!! The lodge had lovely new thick grey carpet fitted throughout and it was very clean. Outside was a parking space and a picnic bench. On site are plenty of facilities and activities. There's a shop, a laundrette, bike hire, a ski slope where you can take part in various activities at extra cost. There's a couple of basketball courts, a football pitch and a new Basecamp area. There's an indoor heated swimming pool which is ok, although the changing facilities could really do with a facelift and they are run down and smell. There is also a soft play area, a roller skate rink and a small gym. Since we came last (Oct 2017) the arcade amusements has had a bit of an upgrade and looks much nicer. Hardy's Cafe and restaurant food is reasonably priced and the food is good, there is also a fish and chip takeaway if you don't want a big meal. Behind the restaurant there is a large modern park and crazy golf. As the park is situated in a woodland area you are able to see lots of wildlife such as deer, squirrels, rabbits and ducks. There is a large lake where you are able to fish. There is free WiFi but it can be very tempremental and unreliable. My 2 girls age 6 and 8 enjoyed the kids evening entertainment with the Starland Krazy crew. There are also other activities that run in the evenings, you will get a time table when you arrive at check-in. Excited to be Coming back in April!!

We loved it here just us and one 9yr old there was plenty to keep her busy. We had days out close by car no idea what the public transport is like but you could do 3/4 days in the park and be happy. We had a cabin it had everything you needed except Flannel Dishcloth Washing up lid And don't forget your salt pepper and sauce. We shopped locally no problem with the on site food but everywhere you go has the same menu you can easily bore with the choice. Evening entertainment is repetitive but kids love it. One small gripe and if you work it out quite lucrative for someone...... Evening bar never had any coppers 1p/2p so every time we went to the bar they rounded up and we lost out.... Ah just a few pence who's that bothered but at a site with 200 lodges and cabins every trip to the bar is 2/4p min 3 trips per evening 7 days a week till about November Kachingggg for someone just saying.

This was our second visit to Warmwell and the site is lovely. Our lodge was clean when we arrived. Overall, another great experience however staff were not as polite or interested to be there as they were last year. Only major gripe is the food served in the Boathouse is no where near as nice as you would expect for the price you pay but with Dorchester & Weymouth down the road it isn’t a major problem. Will be coming back next year. Hopefully some of these issues will be looked at and I can up to 5 stars, thankyou.

Unfortunately this experience has been the worst by far out of the previous 7 visits and our last, their lodges have gone down hill no money being spent to keep them from going damp and foisty, then there is the unwelcome security guards who must think they are bouncers in a night club standing over 3 of us and a dog demanding us to drink up and leave the clubhouse as they were now closed even though we were not told it was time at the bar let alone last orders which they said it was announced in the entertainment area and it was our fault we didn't hear as we were in the bar area that was closed all night while they served from the restaurant area. Then they proceeded to tell me the licence laws and operational costs of shutting now the season had finished when I explained I had paid over a thousand pound for the he turned round and said if you had come last and paid 3000 you would be staying...
