Liked: Myself, my other half and pooch frenchie Mylo or asbo. stayed in the Heidi camping pod. When we first arrived, we seen lovely Gary mending and repairing, which is a great sign to show the owners look after their site. The lovely Jan then completed check in, which was nice and breezy, she was so frinedly, gave us guide map where to walk dog, recommend local Chinese and personally walked us to the pod. At the pod, we had a double bed, not bad mattress, a under counter fridge, and microwave. The pod was also fenced off to allow of dog to wander about. Jamn explained when exercising our dog, we needed to take the dog off site, but its a not far and great for getting those steps in, the view is amazing. The weather was poor, but on a clear day! wow!!
The site is very very nice, one of the best i have seen, plenty of flowers, greenery and due care has been taken. towards the back is the dishwashing facilities and showers/toilets.
Both myself and other half commented how fantastic and clean these were. Due to my mobility I found myself using the vanity room, which was spacious and vert clean, the shower was lush and no push taps!!! I did hit a few cold spots with the water but nothing too concerning. there were personal items available, woman's products, hairspray, deodorant, lotions and even shampoo and shower creams, which is a very nice personal touch.
The site is very quiet, as its an adults only site, you are blessed with the sounds of nature and not that of screaming kids or drunken adults. It is the place to relax
lots of dvds and books to borrow.
Disliked: as mentioned it is very quiet and there are reasonable rules in place, however it can feel a little nerving, if you make a noise, will you disturb anyone, and we were particular cautious of the dog barking, although he did make friends with a several females in the other field (cows) At some points we did feel like we were being watched by other guests , think this is due to layout.
The wifi is poor The tv in our pod, the signal was poor, we watched BBC and the jubilee but other than that, tv wasn't dvd enabled so no relaxing film in bed,. but you can use the shared facilities of the...

Jan gave me a tour of the site and made sure I settled in well - event lent me a plug for my charging lead - what a kind lady.
Spent 2 nights in pod 'Gretel', right next to the toilet/ shower block - v handy! There was an enclosed terrace with outdoor furniture and stunning views to the sea and surrounding fields. Absolutely bliss!
The site is super peaceful - I instantly felt relaxed.
There is a recreational room with a plentiful supply of good DVD's, pool table, darts, large TV, books and American fridge freezer - room is spotless. I watched a few of their DVD's back in my pod.
If you forget any toiletries - you're well covered at this site - couldn't believe how much was on offer in the shower block. There's a hairdryer, mere 20p, and power point for straighteners - same charge. Definitely leave mine at home when I return.
The site is immaculate - the owner Craig is out attending to it every day - I had grass envy - so lush.
Keil's Den on the campsite's doorstep is a 5k stroll around woodland - my Boston Terrier boys loved it! There's a river running through which my youngest had a good splash around in.
I was keen to explore the Fife Coastal Path and it didn't disappoint - breath-taking views along the beach and out to sea.
I had such a wonderful stay at Woodland Gardens Caravan Site that I've booked to return next weekend.
Look forward to seeing you again Jan and Craig.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhatever you do, don't tell anyone about this place. This little corner of Fife, set on the side of hill, overlooking the bay and nestled next to some of the most lovely woodland walks should be regarded as one of Scotland"s best kept secrets. The saying that the best things come in small packages is certainly true here and its size is what makes it so special, along with the hard work and attention to detail that the owners devote on this place. As my first encounter with an adults only site, I have to say that there was nothing stuffy about it whatsoever, people were friendly and happy to stop and talk (including one parrot!). Jan & her husband couldn't be more helpful, it's no surprise that people return again and again. If camping is not your thing, they also have glamping pods, great to take friends with you. Bathrooms are spotlessly clean and free toiletries are provided. Around the site, beautiful flowerbeds provide lots of colour and small hedges and fences divide the site up, allowing for privacy. As an ex camper, I noticed that they even provided groundsheets for the two camping pitches. To top it all, the pitch prices were extremely reasonable. So, as I said, tell no one about this little gem in the heart of Fife, I'd hate it to be fully booked...
