We have just returned from a 3 nights stay with friends at Yew Tree Farm. Perfect in every way, was greeted by a very attentive Josh on arrival, we had the king en-suite with a level shower. Plenty of toiletries and the softest towels ever. Lots of tea, coffee and treats, including crisps, biscuits & chocolates a lovely touch. A very comfy king size bed, with 4 pillows, large wardrobe with plenty of storage space, shoe rack, 2 comfy chairs, great TV and very good WiFi, dressing table with drawers and a large mirror. Breakfast was served in the breakfast room, cooked by Josh and his wife Lyn, a large choice of cereals, fruit juice, yogurt, fresh fruit to start with, followed by an array of hot food including eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, black pudding, eggs Benedict, kippers just to name few. To finish toast with home made jam or marmalade.|One of our party was a celiac, and there was also a huge choice of gluten free food, and also the food & toast was prepared separately to avoid any cross contamination.|The Crooked Billet, a local pub/restaurant was a 10 minute walk down the road, and they served superb food.|Bletchley Park was a 10 min car journey, also Milton Keynes very close by.|Josh and Lyn were the perfect hosts and their attention to detail was amazing in making our stay 5 star. We would not hesitate to return to this bed and breakfast...
Read moreI booked quite last minute (following a cancellation at the property) for the British F1 Grand Prix at Silverstone and my word, was it the best choice I could have made!
Upon arrival I was greeted by Josh who advised me on where to park and handed me the key to my room. I had many interesting chats with Josh during my stay as he was knowledgable on F1, the local area and shared interests of music and sports. His wife, Lynn, was equally as lovely and chatty…and made the best eggs I’ve ever tasted! Honestly such a fantastic couple who ultimately welcome you on to the grounds of their own home.
The room was large and spotless, anything you needed was either replenished daily or available upon request. Nothing was too much for Lynn and Josh, and breakfast was exceptional each day - whatever you want, cooked at your request. The area is beautiful too, although I didn’t have time to explore much as I attended Silverstone for 4 days in a row, which was only a short drive from the property.
As a female travelling alone, I always felt safe and comfortable at the property. All in all, I couldn’t recommend Yew Tree Farm enough. I’ll definitely be back…whether that’s for a trip to Silverstone or...
