Just the most beautiful accommodation we’ve ever stayed at and so good I’m writing this review before we leave! Neil and Naomi are wonderful hosts, so friendly and was a nice touch to get a warm welcome in person that we weren’t expecting to make sure we were settled. It’s a cosy (but spacious) home away from home with everything you need but with the small thoughtful touches of a hotel stay like dressing gowns, Egyptian cotton sheets and little soaps! Fresh bread, jam, butter, coffee and milk was a lovely surprise. Neil and Naomi are super responsive, on hand and genuinely very helpful, with good local recommendations! Perfectly located for hiking the best of the high peaks, just walk out of the back of the farm and onto the paths to for the Great Ridge (incl. Back Tor and Mam Tor) and close to the village of Edale, where we had wood fired pizza from Newfold Farm cafe. Not far from anywhere in the Peak District, a wonderful wee Nook to explore from. We don’t want to leave, but we’ll be back if you’ll have us with our toddler! Thank you.

Had an amazing stay here this week. The accomodation is first class! We stayed in the one bed cottage, The Nook. Exceptionally clean, it has a very comfy living space, huge kitchen with all appliances you need, the biggest warmest bathroom and amazing bedroom. The views are STUNNING! It is right on the footpaths for Mam Tor and Back Tor.. and 30 mins walk to Edale village. When we arrived we received a very warm welcome from Neil and had a great chat about the place and local area. Naomi made some home made bread for us and there was milk, eggs, butter, tea, coffee and jam which was a lovely treat. Cannot speak highly enough of this beautiful cottage and setting. Without doubt the best place we have stayed at and the most relaxing. Thank you Naomi and Neil for letting us stay and being amazing hosts.

An absolute gem cottage. We stayed in the Nook. Location - perfect. So quiet. Great for jumping out of bed and yomping to the top of the great ridge which runs to Mam Tor. Accommodation - perfect. Big fluffy beds with Egyptian cotton sheets. Super warm. Kitchen and bathroom to die for. Plus TV with lots of apps. Super fast internet. View from each window is breathtaking. Everything is polished with quality. Neil and Naomi are wonderful hosts. Attentive and hospitable. Just wonderful. No wonder most of the visitor comments say they don’t want to leave. Us included.

The Cowshed was a truely a wonderful place to stay. The accommodation itself was beautiful, cosy and felt like home in no time. The attention to detail was faultless, with a well equipped kitchen that you could cook anything in (we did a Chirstmas Dinner!). Edale is special to us, especially Mam Tor and the fact we are literally on the side of it was perfect. We enjoyed the Christmas Eve walk up Mam Tor and views that came with it. We loved sitting in the lounge (which was so beautifully decorated with Christmas decorations) with the log burner going and a view of Edale out the window, it was picturesque to say the least. It was the perfect place to spend our Christmassy honeymoon. We have stayed at Back Tor Farm before, in The Nook, and we would highly recommend both accommodations. Thank you Naomi and Neil for opening up your lovely properties and farm for us to stay in. We would highly recommend Back Tor Farm! We cannot...
