My husband and I traveled with our 2 adult children. We had a room at Carnside with a double bed and 2 twins. Bedroom and bathroom very clean! The BnB was lovely. Danielle is a wonderful host! We planned to walk to Giant's Causeway from there to avoid paying for parking. It was late afternoon and very windy. We decided to drive to Causeway Hotel very near the BnB and pay 10 pounds to park there then apply the 10 pound voucher to dinner there. Worked out well. We enjoyed visiting Giant's Causeway! We paid to use the hot tub at the BnB. A drink is included. Danielle made each of us delicious daiquiris. It was cold outside but felt wonderful in the hot tub. The breakfast room is spacious and a lovely continental breakfast was laid out for guests to take what they wanted. On top of that Danielle cooks full Irish breakfasts for guests. Breakfast was fantastic. And, the BnB is perfectly located to go to Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge and Dunluce castle, too. We did those things before...
Read moreLet’s start with the good: The location to Giants Causeway was fantastic and the hosts were very friendly.
Now with the not so good: The rooms were very outdated with beds that were very “broken in” with very old linens to go along with them. The bathroom was small with pull-switch lighting on a string. The wi-fi was non-existent, the room didn’t have a remote for the television, and lack of outlets to plug into near the beds, without having to physically move the beds themselves, was a bit frustrating. I am not sure how anyone that requires a CPAP machine would be able to stay there without rearranging the entire room.
Was quite a bit of noise in the early morning from the farm in which this location is situated and had a very grumpy cow waking us up around 5am. For the price of this B&B, you’d expect a larger breakfast spread that includes hot items, however, there is an upcharge if a warm breakfast is wanted.
Was it the worst stay I have ever had? No, but for the price I...
Read moreMy stay at the Carnside was very enjoyable. The location is convenient (10min walk from bus stop and causeway), very nice views all around, comfy room with a little tea/coffee tray greatly appreciated after my hike, and the owners were SO NICE. It's a familly business, you can see they care about it and want you to enjoy it as well. I pre-ordered diner and it was GREAT. Tasty, fulling, home cooked: cheap in price but not in quality. The breakfast was also really nice! There is a little booklet in the rooms telling you the story of the establishment but also giving you nice tips about the area and directions for walking around! Especially if you walk to the bus stop, the booklet mentions a nice safe little road that you wouldn't think off. Great touch! I would definitely stay...
