I recently stayed for one night in the rabbit hole pod which was absolutely amazing. Upon arrival there is allocated parking for each pod which is clearly marked out on the wall. The rabbit hole is the furthest away pod and it was really easy to gain sessions by the key code on the door that is was sent to me before we arrived. The pod was so quiet and tranquil. Once I gained access there was already some wood in the burner for the hot tub that was already warming up nicely. The sauna was prived with 1 slow burning log that was enough for a few hour to keep the sauna hot. There was also some extra wood for the hot tub. The rest of the pod is amazing from the outdoor projector with the log burner to keep us warm whilst watching a few movies. Such a nice touch to have a christmas tree inside the pod. We wish we could of spent more time there, we will definitely be back soon.
Tips if your visiting: either buy a pack of wood for the hot tub, sauna, fire pit and log burner, or buy some from the host. If your staying for more than 1 night, definitely buy a couple of packs if your planning on spending alot of time in hot tub, sauna and burner. There's not many places to order food from on just eat but there's loads on uber eats that will deliver (i had burger king) Take some kind of throw if your planning on watching movies on the projector as it still gets a little chilly in December. Be cautious on how much wood you feed into the hot tub as too much will make it far to hot to get in. Take a hair dryer as one currently isn't provided. Bandit machine is only free play.
Feedback for host and definitely not complaints as it is amazing:
Looking at your reviews they state there is a welcome pack, there was no welcome pack in the rabbit hole. The outdoor lights from the car park to the pod was out so it was very dark. Maybe an idea to put some a clear roof cover over the pool table to keep the rain off the table. Some type sliding door where the projector is as it was still chilly with the fire going (it was December :). The neon light in the bar wasn't working (couldn't see any obvious plug) Maybe a good idea to provide a hair dryer. Shop wasn't open (shop looked new and not sure if it was open yet) Gate from the carpark would not close and lock. Please don't think any of the above is in anyway a complaint because I have non and I bet if I had a welcome pack with a contact that they would all of been rectified. Can't wait to come back and try a...
Read moreWe have just had a lovely night in hatters hideout..This review is not to say we would not come back as we would but just advice for others.. After reading the email we received i sent a message and called to give our arrival time there was no answer. When we arrived we saw the owners who looked like they were getting ready to go out, I had to ask if they were the owners as there was no introduction.Just pointed us in the direction of the pod. GOOD POINTS... Place was beautiful with plenty of things to keep you occupied. Everything was spotless, clean lovely big towels and robes. Just a few things that would make it a little more comfortable. A little bin in the bedroom and maybe somewhere to leave your open suitcase rather than the floor. The pillows had protectors on them but there was no mattress protector on the mattress which most places do have them on so that they can be washed now and again especially with alot of people staying over. Maybe leave a few teaspoons with the cups in the room then you don't have to go outside to put your rubbish and get the spoons for your tea. Maybe hairdryer as people use the hottub ect and may want to wash there hair. I did try to contact the owners asking where do we get extra wood from but the mobile went straight to answer phone and as there was nothing saying where to go my partner went outside and there was a wooden pod shop that had a container with wood inside and you just send the money to the owners bank.
Maybe add this to your email so that people will no what to do and leave a few more fire starters as we did not have enough.
Hatters hideout the bath in the bedroom if you want hot water for the bath turn it to cold and the hot water comes out..not an issue just to make people aware.. My Son amd girlfriend are going soon and we would...
Read moreWhat a lovely, relaxing little night away as a gift for my wife’s birthday. The communication beforehand was excellent — we received everything we needed to know in good time, from recommendations on what to bring, to directions, and clear check-in details.||The pod itself was exactly what we hoped for and spotlessly clean. The hot tub was already heated when we arrived, which was a wonderful touch, and we kept it topped up with the logs we brought along. We also picked up a couple of extra bags from the honesty shop on site — such a great idea!||The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bedroom pod stayed perfectly warm on a crisp autumn evening. We made full use of all the facilities: homemade pizzas in the pizza oven, breakfast on the grill, marshmallows toasted over the chiminea, and a cosy movie night on the swinging bed with the projector. My wife also loved starting her day with a hot soak in the outdoor bath/shower.||The owners were easy to reach via WhatsApp and responded quickly to the couple of small queries we had, which made everything feel very smooth and well-looked after.||A few little things could make it even better: the large heart light wasn’t working due to an electrical issue (a shame, though not something that could be helped), the pool table was hard to use properly as there’s only access from one side, and some more thorough cleaning supplies for the grill would have been handy. That said, none of these points had any negative impact on our stay, as there was so much else to enjoy.||We’ll definitely be returning to try one of the other amazing pods in the future. Wonderland Retreats is a truly special place for a...
