Pine lake Restaurant — Restaurant in Lancaster

My overall experience at the resort was good, but there was one area that really stood out as needing improvement — communication among the staff.

When I arrived, I was told that the lodge I booked was not yet ready. Fortunately, I had also booked a single room, which was available, so I was able to do an early check-in. However, when I called ahead before my stay, I was told that early check-in was available anytime, with no mention of the £20 fee or the requirement to arrange early check-in for the lodge in advance.

While it worked out for me this time because I had another room option, other guests might not be so lucky. This kind of unclear communication could easily cause frustration or inconvenience for someone arriving after a long journey.

I strongly encourage the staff to give guests clear, complete information when they call — especially about extra charges and advance booking requirements. Aside from this issue, the rest of my stay was enjoyable, and the resort...

We had a great weekend at Pine Lake unfortunately we were shocked when we went in the lakes Bisto and there was a very small sign on the bar stating sorry no food orders as fully booked despite it being really quite. On enquiring we were very casually told by staff that there was a private function on in the other room later that evening so no food was being served. No one mentioned this when we checked in and there was no signage on entry to the bistro so w wasted our time buying a drink a d looking g at the food menu, we were not the only ones who walked out when we found this out! Maybe Pine Lake should advertise the bistro despite being on site is a separate enterprise and food may NOT be available as private functions take presidency over residents! Needless to say we did not go back in the bistro the next night as we were really disappointed as we did not want to risk a repeat and eat...

1st time eating here and it was from a recommendation. The waitress who greeted us was pleasant polite and helpful as we had not booked - think her name was Kaitlyn?? We ordered soft drinks and a selection of starters. The food was well presented although I had expected the beef brisket nachos to come all together not separately-also the beef brisket was watery and tasted of tomatoes and didn't have that beefy brisket flavour. The chicken wings were succulent but soggy skin not nice-was hoping they'd be crisper. The veggie Platter was good as was the garlic mushrooms.
