This B&B is located off the main road in a peaceful and pleasant area. The room was absolutely stunning, tastefully decorated to the highest standard, and meticulously clean and comfortable with a super king size bed and luxurious bedding. The en suite walk in shower was very roomy, (as is the bedroom) again meticulously clean and luxurious. I loved the finishing touches of a mermaid ornament and flowers in the en suite! The proprietors are very friendly, entertaining, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. A superb variety of food was readily available for breakfast to cater for all tastes, and there is flexibility with dining times. Breakfast was served in a light and airy conservatory overlooking the garden. The Classic FM radio sounds contributed to the already perfect ambience. I spent three wonderful days here on a walking break, mostly to spend time at Buttercups Goat Sanctuary which is only 3 x miles away. There is also a bus route which takes you into Maidstone and surrounding areas. Perfect location base for getting around the surrounding areas! This was my first visit and I have already booked to return again in September! I have found my second home here with a real...
Read moreMy friend and I have just returned from a most wonderful stay at Riseden Bed and Breakfast in Maidstone. From the very start, after a warm welcome, we went to our room which was gorgeous. It was beautifully decorated; the bathroom was spacious, and all was spotlessly clean. Our hosts, Andy and Christine, couldn't have done more for us, and when it was my 60th birthday during our visit, a taxi could not be found to take us to our evening meal, Andy drove us to the restaurant and Christine arranged a return taxi. The breakfasts were superb, especially the homemade yoghurt, coulis and granola pots and Andy’s table service was a delight, along with his witty comments. Christine’s hostessing reflects her many years in the hospitality trade. Nothing was too much trouble for her. If there is a better B and B in Britain, I would like to know where it is! The whole stay was fantastic and I'm already missing it. If I'm ever in this area again Riseden will be my number one choice, anything else would be a disappointment. Thank you again Andy and Christine, you made our...
Read moreI travelled with our daughter to Maidstone for business. We arrived quite late; and were greeted by Christine and her husband. On entry you could feel and smell the cleanliness level of the B&B. When we were taken to our beautiful twin room, we were not disappointed. Generally when we stay at any 4/5 star hotel, we are not able to relax until we have sanatized the room ourselves, however, we did NOT find it necessary to sanatize our room at Riseden B&B before relaxing. I had a warm feeling of 'Home'.
Breakfast was freshly prepared driven by our menu selection. Andy served us each day; he was friendly and warm but professional. Andy's customer service was sincere and consistant;, again we felt very comfortable and at home. Inaddition to their excellent customer service, we were given tips regarding the local area, and whilst our daughter went to work, I was shown into the garden where I was able to relax. Christine, Andy, thank you for delivering such outstanding, friendly, and memorable customer service. I look forward to staying with you...
