Wonderful location which served as a great base to reach most corners of the island within an hour or so.
Also dog friendly if you put in a request beforehand.
The hosts were lovely, helpful and always at hand without being in any way intrusive. Very helpful in pointing out points of interest and very responsive.
The breakfast was great, fresh pastries, cereals, yoghurts, milk, jams and fruit every morning and the host made sure to vary things a bit from day to day. The room also had a kettle, tea, coffee and hot chocolate sachets.
We stayed in a deluxe room which was excellent, with a view of the valley below. The bed was one of the comfiest we ever slept in. We visited in winter and the temperature was just right. The shower was also a highlight.
Highly recommended, cosy, comfortable and warm.
Just be mindful that the stretch of A850 around this area gets quite rough at times i.e. potholes, more like canyons (like in many places on Skye, especially further West towards Dunvegan) so make sure you watch out for them and drive well below the speed limit. Maybe a 4x4 would be fine but our little city car did not...

Its 10 mins from Portree and right next to a Pictish stone and St Columba's isle for more of the beaten path locations to visit. The place is immaculate and the host provides a super continental breakfast. Would definitely stay again....
