Brightham House Boutique B&B is a place where you can stay that will be beyond your expectations! You’ll immediately relax in its beautiful surroundings and then your holiday begins.

It’s the most gorgeous house with incredible decor, fabulous quirky twists and a great atmosphere. It is spotlessly clean (and we’re fussy), serves incredible food and is situated in the ideal location. Overall, it’s…perfection!

All bedrooms are styled individually and are beautiful. The beds are really comfortable, everything you need is provided and more. It’s a pleasure just to be in your room. The bright, relaxing lounge leads through to the Orangery, again beautifully styled, where you relax whilst sipping your morning beverage as you choose from the incredible breakfast menu. All the reviews say the breakfasts are amazing and they absolutely are! There’s a huge choice, everything is presented beautifully, arrives piping hot and tastes delicious. Tea and coffee top ups are also plentiful. You look out onto the beautifully designed, peaceful garden where you can also have your breakfast in its sheltered surroundings. Just beyond the lounge is a lovely honesty bar area with everything you could want.

The village is lovely, as are all the local walks, beaches and other towns which are all close by, making it the location perfect.

This year is our 4th stay. Each time we have booked for the Italian evening which is absolutely a must. What a fantastic experience with delicious food, service and atmosphere. The evening is perfection.

I could keep writing but maybe I should stop. I do need time to mention Alister and Scott…welcoming, helpful and so friendly. Just such lovely, chilled guys. Where do I start? Everything is just amazing - the garden is relaxing, beautiful, and soothing to the soul. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. There is a mini gym and E-bikes but we decided to just relax with our books and enjoy the garden, the weather, and our time away from busyness. They have 2 gorgeous dogs but we couldn’t fit them into our suitcases so had to leave them behind 🤣

Inside the decor is a lovely blend of quirky and interesting with attention to detail for both your comfort and pleasure. A treasure trove of discovery wherever you look.

The hosts (Alastair and Scott) were great - nothing was too much trouble - their service was pitched perfectly - not intrusive but enough to show their cared about their guests. Exemplary customer service - good manners/great conversation/helpful and knowledgeable; they are just genuinely lovely people.

The food was beyond delicious and the presentation was perfect - it looked so nice we didn’t want to eat it - just look and admire it. But eat it we did and what a delight it was.

We tried a different main breakfast every morning - and Alastair and Scott were happy to adapt the menu for personal preferences. Locally sourced and homemade where possible - a culinary delight. Just so sorry we weren’t able to stay for the Italian night which I hear is legendary.

We visited Brightham House boutique B&B over the Easter weekend and were delighted we did. We received a very warm welcome from Alistair and Scott they were great hosts. Alistair was on hand to give tips on where to go and what to see with Scott making the most amazing breakfasts. The B&B decor is funky and fun and there’s always something new to cast your eyes upon. Our room was comfortable with bathrobes and slippers along with a coffee machine, a kettle and a generous amount of quality biscuits. There were Rituals toiletries in the bathroom which added to the feeling of luxury. The whole room was spotlessly clean as was the rest of the B&B. There is a well stocked honesty bar which we used and a great outdoor area to sit in and enjoy your drinks. There is also a gym and hot tub which we did not use. The breakfast room is lovely with lots of plants it felt very tropical. A great place to enjoy Scott’s amazing breakfasts and Alistair’s attentive service. We even received some Easter goodies when we went to breakfast which was a lovely touch. Alistair and Scott really deserve every 5 star review they received.
