Motel 6 Abbeville, LA — Hotel in Abbeville

Myself and 2 other ladies stayed at the Motel 6 in Abbeville, La. First we stayed in the back part of the motel that is not attached to the lobby and/or main part. The reason we HAD to stay there was bc the other 2 ladies were not able to climb stairs, there were no bottom floor rooms. When we called we were told we could have a handicap room. The card machine was down but was assured everything would be fine when we got there on the 28th of June. Well that was not true, so we get a room around the property in the back. After traveling all day we get in our room, go meet our family and come back to rest. It is storming now and we have a almost empty roll of toilet paper, no kleenex in the proper area, no shampoo, etc. We call the front desk and are told WE MUST come to the office because she is by herself, we are at the back of the property and no covered walkway once we pass the few detattched rooms. We make do til morning, call the office at 7:15 for toilet tissue and kleenex, only to be told we would have to come get it. There was some kind of liquid on the wood floor that was black, not sure what it was. The bathroom needed some updating/cleaning/repairs. Once we turned in our cards and told the girl we were leaving the room needed supplies, she just had a blank stare on her face. She did not say 1...

I have stayed here previously and this time I was deeply disappointed. The door lock in our room was broken. There was some sort of goop on the bathroom wall. The pillows were flat, so much so you couldn't even fluff them up. The coke machine was broken and ate our money. The clothes dryer was broken and ate our money. There was not a sign on either machine stating broken. Management stated they aren't responsible. The pool was dirty. There was no coffee in the mornings although stated they would have coffee available. There were cigarette burns on the bathtub in a non-smoking room. Still odor of cigarettes in the room. Cleaning staff removed our towels each day and never returned any. I had to go to front desk to get towels for my family every day. We had some clothing items disappear from our room. Overall the staff was kind and friendly. I will give them another try to see if it was a fluke but as of now, very displeased with the...

It was ok until we discovered we had mice!!! We went to the front desk and told them we had mice in our room. The lady at the front desk said "oh, its because they are cutting sugarcane. It happens all the time. We don't have another room to move you to but we can give you a trap."

Y'all, we killed 5 mice in 3 days!

We had a room with a "kitchenette" The sink is too small to wash a dish in. There was onion skins in the drawer. We found beer bottles under the night stand and they were half full!

There was a family living there that had an aggressive dog. The dog would lunge its self at my kids and my dog when it was outside. The kids would be walking the dog and it would growl at us everytime it saw us.

It was the only hotel open after hurricane Delta hit so we only had that option...
