Hainam Restaurant — Restaurant in Abbeville

Very good food in general, depends on what you normally select when you go into a place like this. Pretty standard format and selection....much like a lot of other offerings in this type of restaurant. I use them out of convenience and due to their location being close to Walmart. Service is good as it can be. Here are the "If" statements. If you are looking for lunch and the parking lot is full ......you will encounter some items that may not be the freshest. They may be of the 11am variety and you are there at noon. All depends on how popular that item is as to how fast it is replaced or refreshed. Same goes for later in the day. I typically stay away from the rush if possible. Something else to remember......during the summer, this place gets hot. The temperature in the building.....when serving a lot of people tends to get uncomfortable at times. Still it is a good place to eat.....as long as your expectations are in line...

Never been a place to write home about. But they seem to have been going down in quality the last few time I went. Went recently with my kids. It was $45ish for myself, a 4 year old and a 12 year old. Everything I got from the buffet was horrible. Even my normal go to items that I typically like was not good. The fried food was soggy. The fried rice was hard. The rice for the gumbo was hard. The rice noodle, which usually one of my favorite items was about a half notice above mush. My son's chicken nuggets were cold. About only thing that was good, was the soda. I could have went across the street and gotten a higher quality meal for the same price. It will be awhile...

We came here after church hoping for an easy meal with the family. The atmosphere wasn’t so bad but we came to eat. The service was actually really good, the waitress was polite and always got our plates when we finished. We didn’t even have to ask once. That being said, almost everything was was too cold, the meat, the fried shapes, even the soup. It was like the heat mechanism was broken. The clumps of chicken on a stick had an after taste that still makes me shudder. The “Sashimi” was sour tasting which I would rather not think about. One of my kids is still suffering on the toilet. I will say that there was plenty of open space in the parking lot....
