HORRIBLE!! Please do not stay here!! We stayed here for a ball tournament and never will I ever stay here again. After finding a syringe under the mattress at my daughter’s head- we left in the middle of night. Immediately after checking in & walking down our hallway to our room we were hit with the overwhelming stench of weed.. entering our room it was as if we walked into my great grandmothers house who smoked for 60 years and never aired it out, awful! The sheets on top looked decent, lumpy, but semi clean. Once you pulled your sheets back- there were black streaks, handprints and what appeared to be blood on them. We exchanged our sheets and left for dinner. When we got back is when we noticed the remaining items of fault. -melted ice cream in a fridge/freezer that was plugged in but not working. -trash left in a molded trash can - ashes on the ground under the night stand -snot smeared on the side of the bathroom sink -no smoke detector Shortly after 9pm we laid down and an alarm started going off- we called the front who said they would come see what it was. After an hour of waiting my husband started looking for it.. since there was no smoke detector he was randomly walking around the room moving things and trying to find it. Eventually he moved the mattress that my daughter had been lying on which quickly revealed a syringe directly underneath her head. We contacted the front who tried to call the manager, Autumn, who told Chelsea that she couldn’t do anything that she was in Augusta. The police were contacted and a report was filed. We left and went to another hotel. The next day we contacted the hotel and asked to have a call back from the hotels owner and still have yet to hear from them.

After you read my review you may wonder why I gave 5 stars, but in short it I thought it was a great value. Our room was clean and up to date, the beds were comfortable, I could control the temperature in the room, it was quiet, the wifi worked, lots of parking, there was always hot complementary coffee and cookies, breakfast was decent, most staff members were very friendly and helpful, hot shower, lots of ice...these are the things that are important to me and frequently one or more are missing at hotels 2x the price. Though the beds are ok, I didn't find the other furniture particularly comfortable. Outside the room, they seem to like to keep the place pretty warm, it must have been over 80 in the halls, and this was in January when it was 45 outside. If you're going to hire professional pest control, great, but maybe don't let them park their van opposite the entrance. Have them park at a service entrance. They were spraying the halls with something in the afternoon and guests were walking around. Luckily there was no odor and I didn't see any bugs so maybe it is preventive. Why all the shipping containers? It looks like there are a lot fewer than there used to be but still seems a bit weird, especially the ones that look like you can live in them. I agree with other reviews that said breakfast items run out, but we had time and waited, and items were replenished. One thing that might be good to have at the front desk or in some of the rooms is a tiny dish soap, but not a big deal. Overall we had a great stay and I thought the value was better than another chain just up the street, which is a bit nicer but pricier, where we've also stayed.

Stayed here from 7/3 - 7/5. PROS: Entry point was nice and clean. Front desk ppl were all very nice and accommodating. I had the 2 queen bed suite w/living room. There was a an area for the microwave, sink, fridge w/coffee and tea and coffee maker in the room. 2 tvs, 1 remote, with a pull out sofa bed. It was spacious, clean, nice upholstery. Ceilings in the bedroom are high. Great lighting. Was on the 1st fl, rm 124 and relatives in rm 125 (their room didn't have the living room suite but still big). The room didn't smell stale and AC worked just fine. The pillows are the kind you sink into. There were charges for the usb and outlets throughout. The bathroom was big. Closet, iron, ironing board, hangers, benches, the usual etc... Breakfast would usually be hot but due to the pandemic they offered muffins (blueberry, banana nut and chocolate chip), breakfast bars (different varieties), cheese danish and other types of claws and danishes, apple and orange juice, variety of teas and coffee, and oatmeal. They did have some other food items in the fridge for purchase. I got the breakfast sandwich (Jimmy Dean sausage biscuit w/egg and cheese for $2). Housekeeping brought extra towels and washcloths and tissue. Also in the bathroom there was a shelf which was neat because we put our toiletries there. No issue w/parking either. Dollar General across the street. You can walk there. CONS: Buffet and Pool closed due to the Covid-19. Bathroom needed to be swept around the toilet. I don't like seeing hair on the floor, in the sink or shower. Would definitely stay here again!!

My son and his colleague had two rooms booked by his employer on a business trip. I stayed with him during those three nights. The room was very clean and much larger than expected as a pleasant surprise. The reception was helpful and patient when my son tried to check in but she could not find his reservation. He paid out of pocket for the two rooms reserved and will file for reimbursement with his company. Breakfast was not the greatest but included so we made the most of it! ||I would like to address the lack of business etiquette by one of the receptionists and one member of the cleaning staff. They addressed me with terms of endearment (honey, sweetie, babe, etc.). I politely asked them to stop the terms of endearment because it is inappropriate in the business workplace and denigrates women. Although the glib argument that this is considered respect in the South, it is not because using such language is not gender neutral and discriminates against women. I asked them, "Do you speak to men in this fashion?" The cleaning employee made it clear that because I am a biological female, this is acceptable (in so many words). Although the Deep South has a reputation of using terms of endearment any time and any place, this is only acceptable among friends, family and children under twelve, not in a business setting directed toward adults the hotel staff does not know. Please Google the terms, "micro aggression and implicit bias. " This is a training issue for the staff as 21st century employees interacting with guests from different parts of the US and other countries, regardless of position at your hotel. ||I would also like to add that employees should not put their hands on guests, even if they are trying to make a point with no harm intended. I refrained from comment at the time of occurrence but I expect unknown people to respect my space and my body (note--nothing sexual occurred). ||The hotel was comfortable with amenities such as a refrigerator, microwave and sink for food preparation and washing dishes, parking and the pool. The staff on duty during breakfast was professional and checked to make sure we had what we needed. The man on duty even offered to make a waffle for me! ||Although the Country Inn is comfortable, I am unsure whether I would stay there again, knowing that gender inequality (probably age, too! ) is evident. Please work on this issue to improve service at the Country Inn so all guests feel welcome.||Thank you,||Betty...

The owner was very rude. The brightness on our TV was very dark and you cannot see the faces of the people in the movie. My husband assumed the TV was going bad so he asked if they could take a TV from another room and put it in our room. The owner was willing to move us to another room, but we decided not to move because the same TV was in all the rooms. It was discovered that the TV’s (Phillips Brand) were of poor quality and did not have brightness settings on them. The next morning I got a Coke out of the vending machine and I was given a cherry Coke. The machine didn’t have cherry Coke listed as an option. I went to the front desk and asked if they could exchange the drinks because I don’t drink cherry Coke. The manager spoke to me in an unprofessional tone and told me no because they are not responsible for the vending machine. They had canned cokes upfront so I asked if he could switch it and he told me no. Then all of a sudden he told me he knew I was a problem because of the TV issue the night before. He told me he was done with me and he didn’t have anything else left to say to me. He was talking to me like I was a piece of trash. I asked why he was talking to me that way when I just asked a simple question. I explained he was acting very unprofessional and I wanted to have the corporate phone number. He then stated that I was the only customer that had issues with their hotel. I explained that was not true because when I was checking in, there was a couple in front of me that was having a discussion with him and complaining about a issue with their payment. There was an awful smell on the first floor past my room, and I heard people discuss it. I don’t know if he was just having a bad day, but that did not give him the right to talk to me the way he did. My husband and I have stayed in a lot of motels/hotels and I have never been talk to or disrespected the way...

BEWARE OF BED BUGS. This hotel deserves zero stars. At first, everything seemed fine. Nothing special about this place but we sold our home & needed a place to stay for 10 days until we were able to get in to our new home. We arrived on a Tuesday night. Come Friday morning I woke up to 2 bites on my neck. I brushed it off & didn’t think much of it. When I woke up Saturday morning, I had 30+ bites all over my arms, neck, face, ear, side, stomach and down my entire leg. THEY WERE BED BUG BITES. My 8 year old son is also covered in bites. This is gross and unacceptable. When I addressed this issue with the manager, Lisa. She advised me to “wash my clothes in hot water.” Obviously. She was snarky, rude and downplayed this MAJOR problem and only offered to upgrade our room. First of all, you have a bed bug issue, who would want to stay in a bed bug infested hotel and take the chance of getting even more bites on their and their children’s bodies? Refused to refund the 4 nights we spent there & said that she would have to get pest control there Monday to confirm and even then she MIGHT refund only one of the nights but would send me over the inspection paperwork. I don’t need the paperwork, the bites all over my body is proof enough that there is an infestation. She is a poor excuse of a manager and clearly does not know how to run a business. When I asked to speak to the owner she informed me that there was a family health issue & he was not available. This is still his business and he needs to be made aware & handle the situation as a true leader should. We had to abruptly pack all of our things, treat it all for bed bugs & find a new CLEAN hotel. Lisa never accepted responsibility nor did she even apologize. I have documented all of our bites with photos and have photos of the seams on the mattress & linens where it’s clear that bed bugs...
