Deep Creek Fishing Club — Hotel in Alaska

Our group of 9 adults (fathers and sons) stayed at Deep Creek Fishing Club 5 nights and 4 days, with 3 days of fishing and a one day helicopter excursion in July 2025. The best word I can use to describe the experience is: fabulous!||This is essentially a 5 star lodge and dining experience with fishing. We did both ocean and river fishing. The guides, boats and equipment were excellent! We caught king salmon, sockeye salmon, halibut, rockfish, and ling cod. Each person in our group brought home over 40lbs of fish (be advised you need to either pay to ship it home or plan to carry it through the airport for checking). ||The helicopter excursion and accompanying shore lunch are a "must do" with stunning glacier views, superb fishing, and delicious shore lunch by campfire. This is one of my favorite memories of the trip!||The lodge is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. The cabins were clean, comfortable and very spacious with a king size bed for each person. Each cabin has a wall of windows with spectacular views of the Cook Inlet and mountains on the other side. There are room darkening curtains on the windows so you don't have to worry about a sleep mask during the summer months. There is also a large hot tub conveniently located by the lodge, which we used every day.||The meals at the lodge were simply outstanding! Breakfasts included a full spread of eggs, meats, lox and bagels, fruit, yogurt, etc. every morning in a buffet serving. Lunches were either packed sandwiches/salads for ocean fishing or cooked onshore with fresh salmon (fish tacos, seafood jambalaya, etc.) when river fishing. Evenings started with delicious and spectacular appetizers. For dinner, we had everything from king crab and catch of the day to on-site aged beef (cut to order) and surf and turf cooked with live lobster. House wines and local beers were included with the cost, but you can purchase mixed drinks at the lodge.||Vivian and the rest of the staff and guides were friendly and welcoming. Wow! What an outstanding experience at Deep Creek Fishing Club. We went for the fishing adventure but came away with so much more. ||From the very first contact, to the moment we left, the level of hospitality was unmatched. Vivian and her team treat all guests like royalty. With only 8 guests at the club you receive personalized service throughout your stay. Hot towels after fishing and your choose of refreshments waiting for your return. ||The lodge is set on a beautiful lush green grass estate at the Cook Inlet’s waters edge. Breathtaking views out side your personal cabin. Each cabin has 2 king sized beds, fire place inside and on your deck for relaxing. Hot tub that fit the whole group. Morning beverages brought to your cabin to start the day, before a lovely breakfast. ||The food was truly Michelin Star level. From fresh seafood towers, to tomahawk steaks, fresh catch of the day, to flaming baked Alaska for dessert. Every day was a new gourmet delight. ||Then came the fishing! Fishing boats are state of the art and equipped with everything you’d need. Captain Crusty and captain Sky know where to catch Halibut, Sockeye, Black Rock fish, Yellow eye, Ling cod, King, and Silver. Only the best eating. We got our limits each day and came home with 85lbs of freshly processed, flash frozen, and packed for our flight home. Wish we did the seven day package as there was more to explore. ||What really stood out was the deep fishing knowledge, hospitality, accommodations and food....

Wow, where do I even begin?! Our stay at Deep Creek Fishing Club was truly an unforgettable experience!

Firstly, the panoramic views of the ocean and mountains are simply breathtaking. We felt like we were on top of the world!

The food and dining experience were exceptional! The chef's culinary skills are top-notch, and the themed evenings were an absolute blast! We loved the attention to detail in the decorations and music, which totally transported us to another era - the 70s night, Pirate night, Hawaii night, and Vegas night were all incredible!

Our accommodation was stunning - spotlessly clean, spacious, and yet so cozy. We felt right at home!

The warm jacuzzi was the perfect spot to unwind and watch the sunset with a glass of wine. Pure bliss!

We were also impressed by the amazing greenhouse, teeming with homegrown and thriving vegetables. So cool!

And, as if all that wasn't enough, we were treated to a spectacular display of the northern lights! Breathtaking!

Last but not least, the entire team of staff are absolute gems! They went above and beyond to make our stay special, and their warmth and hard work did not go unnoticed.

Overall, Deep Creek Fishing Club exceeded our expectations in every way. If you're looking for a truly special experience, look no further! We can't...
