I took my dog down to the river for a few minutes. The water level has increased a lot compared to my visit 2 months ago.

This is gonna be long but for yours and your family's safety, Please read this.

Now I have very fond memories of staying at this campground with my grandparents and little sister when I was 14 (around 2006). Really peaceful site, however watch yourself and family if your the only ones there, we had the whole area to ourselves.

I had a very traumatizing incidient happen one night, when a car with very tinted windows backed into the site across from our 5th wheel. I was in our truck which was still attatched to our trailer, watching dvds on a portable dvd player when I noticed the car sitting there for a very long time, with no one getting out.

They were facing me dead on and just sat there for what felt like forever. I had very bad vibes and kept looking up every couple minutes to see if they were going to set up camp.

One time I looked up and they turn their brights on right at me. They then cracked their window enough to get their hand out and began taking photos of me and our truck with the flash on, headlights still still on me as well.

My gut feeling was telling me to get inside the rv immediately, it took all of my courage to open the truck door and run to the rv. I was terrified that once I got out they would try to snatch me. Not knowing their motives was the most gut wrenching feeling.

Once I sprinted to the rv door and got inside I told my grandparents about it and they thought I was joking or exaggerating. I locked the doors and just watched this car from inside the trailer window. They didn't leave for a couple hours.

Pretty sure the spot they were in was for RV's only but I don't know for sure, they didn't have any RV. I spent the whole night anxious and reeling at the thought of them coming back when we were asleep. Really thought that me and my family would be killed that night, or my grandparents murdered and my sister and I taken.

I still wonder what might have happened if I never got out of the truck. Everyone that I tell this story to seems to agree that these people were definitely up to no good. Be careful and keep an eye on each other. Alaska DOES have the most missing persons and last I checked the most serial killers.

I really am not trying to make this place seem terrible or scare anyone. I haven't seen a single other review here with a similar experience so maybe this was just a fluke incident that may never happen there again. Could have very well just been a wrong place at the wrong time situation. I suppose this could happen at any campground really. Like I said everything about our visit there was amazing besides this one encounter. I have memories of my grandma and grandpa that I will cherish forever, and one vivid awful memory that is clear as day in my mind.

I still wonder what this person did with the photographs and why any sane person would do that to total strangers, let alone a 14 year old kid sitting...
