Tent camping review. I needed a place to stay between Anchorage and Glen Allen. We actually ended up staying here two separate times- on our way North east and coming back South West. This State Rec Area is extremely clean. It's nice that there are tent sites separated from their RV sites (nothing worse than being in a tent and stuck hearing an RV's generator or TV all night). There's a fishing dock, another dock to jump off of about 6 feet above the water, and a walkway down to the waters edge where you can get on your kayak/paddleboard and enjoy the lake. There's a small island in the middle where you can lay out in the sun and enjoy the sounds of everyone having a good time. The mountains over the tree line help remind you that you're in Alaska. Haven't found a ropeswing yet but I'm not giving...
