Hereford Motel — Hotel in Albany

I wanted so bad to give a 5 star review but was disapointed in a few things. First we were in town and do come into town often every year. I know we are in the country I live in the country. But the crickets were out of control. No door was left open. The Caldwell room. I pulled back the sheets and one was in the bed alive and a dead one on the floor. The mini fridge is ridiculously small and more trash cans please. A dirty laundry bag And a lougage rack too. Guests have been putting their luggage on the night stands and have ruined them. One was wobbly and the drawer was hard to open due to the top sagging and now is unleavel . I was able to open it to get out the tiny bedside fan. The bathroom did have a nice sturdy stool to sit on but I used it to hold my suitcase. My husband had to use the one chair for his bag. A full lengeth mirror would of been nice to dress in. The bathroom mirror 🪞 with built-in dehumidifier and light has a short in it or isn't plugged in well in the back of it.I had to push really hard on the mirror to get it to work if you don't then you'll never get the dehumidifier or light over the sink to work. I was so worried it would fall off the wall. The Rustic wood bathroom count top is fitting but they really should be sealed it's very difficult to stand anything up on this rough build it just falls over. The room was easy to move around in with a King size bed and it was very comfortable and the shower was divine . Thank you for a nice hairdryer! Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the renovated Hereford Motel. Spacious bedroom and bathroom, no clutter, cheerful and pleasing Accommodations. Much prefer their bedside table lamps instead of obtrusive overhead lighting. Enjoyed flipping through the cowboy history book in the bedside table drawer. Combo Sound machine/alarm was a nice touch. It was cozy to have the long, Beautiful rug at the end of the bed. Thank you for the double curtains over the window, And for leaving them open with the lamp on for better visibility upon arrival in the dark. Nice swivel chair by the window. Bed was very comfortable With plenty of different kinds of pillows. Very spacious bathroom with plenty of towels. Best showerhead ever in the walk-in shower, along with the option for a handheld shower. Fabulous piece of art on the wall. Nice nightlight option on the mirror. I found the Hereford online when I was looking for a reasonably priced hotel for my son and I to stay at while traveling for a 4H competition. We thought it looked like a cool place to check out, and it did not disappoint! The owners did an awesome job with the renovations! My son and I did have a few suggestions though. Trash cans outside for guests to use after being on a road trip would be a big plus. Also, a second trash can in the room would have been nice as well. There was only one tiny one in the bathroom and it was filled immediately when we had lunch trash. And, I know that there isn't much extra space in the room, but a slightly larger mini fridge would have been good to have. We went over to have dinner at the restaurant next door and we had left overs we barely got into the one that was in the room. And a microwave wave as well.
