I’ve been to the bee hive 3 times prior to management changing, remodeling, and reopening as Goodnight Steakhouse. The food and service under old management was clearly superior. This was my first time going to Goodnight Steakhouse and I have a few things to criticize and complaint. My father and I were the only people eating in our group, the Steakhouse was very packed. I ordered the Filet, medium rare and my father ordered the Ribeye, medium rare. It took about 60 minutes before we received our food. My filet was cooked perfectly but lacked a decent, crusty sear. What was worse is that the filet was served under luke warm, did not taste or feel warm or hot at all, I asked the server to please have my filet reheated, she was extremely nice about it and took it to the kitchen, a few minutes later she returned with my filet, it was the same temperature, if not colder than before I sent it back. It appears some pepper has been added to the filet, maybe there was miscommunication between the server and the kitchen staff/chef. The mashed potatoes were good. We were brought some scratch gravy before I asked for my filet to be reheated, the gravy had an issue, when making a rue, it needs to be cooked down to remove the flour smell and flavor, it was not cooked down, it tasted as if they made gravy from a packet then added flower to the already cooked packet gravy. Not good at all, tasted like straight flower with pepper. Now on to my fathers ribeye, I enjoyed it, it was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was hot from the kitchen throughout the entire steak. It was seasoned amazingly with a delicious pepper mix. My father complained to me saying there was too much fat and gristle throughout the ribeye, all ribeyes are different but I could concur the ribeye was not a very high quality grade of beef. My father did not complain about the ribeye and I did not complain after my filet was sent back to me cold after being ā€œreheatedā€. A woman then walked up to our table, I presume it was the manager or owner. She told us directly that she has comped both of our steaks from our bill. This was surprising to us and is fantastic customer service. In conclusion, I feel as if this new, remodeled restaurant, has an issue with amount of orders being took and the size/amount of people working in their kitchen. The customer staff was great but in whole the food seemed subpar to what we were expecting. Last time I was at the Bee Hive, I ordered a filet and received it within 30 minutes which is completely acceptable for what I received, that filet was the best, most perfectly cooked and deliciously tender steak I have ever had. The Goodnight Steakhouse completely underwhelmed what I was expecting.

First off I loved the Beehive. Thursday night shrimp night was always fantastic. This restaurant was a total let down on a Thursday night. The place has been remodeled. It now seats three times the people the Beehive did, but the kitchen is the same size. We were seated, a party of ten. Our drinks were taken and brought in a timely manner. Our orders were taken in a timely manner. However our food took 50 minutes to be placed in front of us. We all ordered the special of grilled chicken breast or chicken fried steak. There was a very limited menu. The grilled chicken breast was served with Brussel sprouts and a ranch salad. The ranch salad had croutons and that was not disclosed in the menu. The Brussel sprouts were burned and mushy. The chicken was supposed to be topped with grilled onions and mushrooms. I requested no mushrooms. My chicken was served dry with nothing. Apparently the onions and mushrooms were prepared and and in a hot holding pan. So no grilled onions and a very dry plain chicken breast. Very subpar meal. Another ordered the chicken and was served what looked like instant mashed potatoes. He wanted the Brussel sprouts. The chicken fry was so so. We only eat out if we believe the food will be as good or better than what I prepare at home. I doubt we will return to this restaurant. It was at best a local cafe with basic menu fare. The chicken meal was $14 and the chicken fried steak was $18 so prices were not unreasonable. The New York Strip special looked decent and was $34. The green beans were canned green beans that were salty and had quite a bit of bacon fat and black pepper for seasoning, not very appetizing. This is not a scratch kitchen in my opinion. The food is prepared in large batches and kept in warmers. Meat is cooked to order and they are trying to serve far too many customers at one time for the kitchen size. There were plenty of wait staff and servers. Servers were friendly and did a great job with what they had to work With. This is a new establishment and I hope they improve their menu and kitchen.

My family and I ate here last Thursday night. We placed a reservation for 6:30 pm. We arrived early and there were plenty of spots to sit. The service from beginning to end was top notch. The Chicken Fry was absolutely amazing. I would venture to say that it was the best I’ve ever had. My wife would agree. The steak was incredibly tender and cooked to perfection. The crust was light and extremely flavorful. Amazing! My daughter had the ribeye. She said it was good, but not the best. I can’t rate for her though. šŸ˜€ I’ll definitely be back when visiting again. Kudos to the chef/cooks and our server on 8/7!!

Well it took 30 minutes for us to just place an order for sweet tea. Then after 60 mins to get our food it arrived to the table cold. The waitress took about 10-15 mins to come check on us even though she had checked on everyone else in her section. We informed her that the food was cold and she said really. Never spoke with a manager was given the food for free no other option was given to us. Then told to take it home a warm it up. Then got a bill for drinks. Never in my 31 years of being on this earth was I told to take it home and warm up the food. Will never come here again. Never spoke to a manager or anything.

After reading the comment left on my review a few things need to be ironed out. First your correct I don’t have a Facebook but that does not make me a fraud. I have been a home owner in this town since March of 2017. Stansbury is my married name. Second I would love to see the camera footage you have of me because that’s my right to see it. Third I never wanted my food for free, the manager should have come to the table when the server made her aware of the problem to see how this could have been made right. But the manager was to busy sitting at the bar playing on her phone drinking a red drink from a mason jar with a lime. Also I know how the service industry works because I have work the food industry before. But after reading several other reviews both on this and in Yelp the issues of time management and food warmth seems to be an ongoing problem and I am not the first to addresses...
