Good Evening,||||I am writing this email in the hopes that something can be done about the disrespect and professionalism of the Grill and Bar establishment. Earlier in the day I had an encounter with Alex about smoking. He told us the smoking area was up top. We were outside of the pool area, by the ramp leading to the sand/beach. I went over by the trash can and disposed of my cigarette. I missed the trash can- without realizing. We then proceed to go back to the pool area when Alex came back out and told me he wanted to talk to me. I said, ok. He then says “No! Come up here!” Like I was a child. He said he told us where the smoking area was, and I still proceeded to not listen to him, and that I just tossed my cigarette. He then continued to yell at me. I cut him off and told him I would go pick up my cigarette. I go to pick it up and there was an entire pile there of other cigarettes. So why was he watching me like I am some kind criminal? I will not be disrespected and talked to like I am a child. When you go upstairs there is no visible sign with the designated smoking area. It isn’t until you look all the way around to the back to see where that area is.||||Later this evening we go to the bar to get some dinner. We walk in, sit at a table, look at the menu and wait, as the bar tender was taking care of 2 women and a man. In walks a couple with a dog- that was clearly not a service animal and sits down. We have already been sitting for a while. The bar tender then goes over to the couple, chats with them about what they wanted to order, and walks away. I stopped him and asked if we were supposed to order at the bar. He informs us that yes, we are supposed to go to the bar. I then ask him why he didn’t tell us that when he clearly ignored us and went to the couple with the dog. So now, I am being mistreated outside the bar, and inside too? I am here just visiting, haven’t even been here an entire day, and have been disrespected twice. Meanwhile there were 2 females in the pool area vaping, another visitor walking back and forth smoking along the sidewalk, some visitors on the 2nd floor yelling obscenities and saying he has the cocaine ready around everyone there- to include my child. So why are we only targeting me?? I am very upset, and I will not ever visit that establishment. The staff at the hotel has been nothing but accommodating and friendly. My problem is with the alleged GM Alex Manafi. How do you call yourself a manager and you’re treating your patrons that way? Why is he allowed to do this? He could have handled the situation in a much better way. I have never in my life had such an encounter like this with anyone- especially one that is a GM. I was soo upset I went to the front desk to see what I can do about this. One of the ladies at the front desk was very attentive and listened to me, she even acknowledged that she saw us sitting in the bar waiting with no one tending to us. I do realize that this is a tourist area, and this email may or may not go to the right hands. I’m sure this is not Alex’s first time treating people this way, and something needs to be done about it. I am here for 7 days, and I could have gone to a thousand different places, but we chose to be here. Just to be surveilled, harassed and disrespected?? Absolutely unprofessional and uncalled for. As much as I wanted to yell back him and tell him how much of a jerk he is being, I chose to be an adult and walked away. He has ruined my first day here. And I feel embarrassed and demeaned with the way he handled this. Everyone at the bar and the pool could hear him yelling. Completely unacceptable.||||I would greatly appreciate a response to this email.||||Thank you.||||||||Sent from my iPhone||Sent...

When I think of the word resort: beachside resort does not fit the category. So, the photos of the rooms on their Facebook page, their websites, and other social media that I found prior to booking do not match the room or hotel we saw. At least in condition or appearance upon our arrival. The room upon entering smelled very old and moldy. Not a single scent of a cleaner was present. We went immediately to publix and picked up an airwick plug in and a strong candle. The shower had mold along the edges and the plastic? Fiberglass? Shower had cracks and was broken and looked like several poor repairs had been attempted and failed. The shower handle was sloppy and floppy needs replacement, the tub had an issue draining it would take a little time for the water to run out of the drain. The cabinet door hinges were broken or nearly broken and holding on by hopes and dreams. The sponge left for us to use to wash our dishes was old and used, not new (not very sanitary). The bed had stains on the mattress, the room was poorly cleaned as we found a headband between the bed and side table. The sofa had stains on the seats. It had a full sized stove and refrigerator and microwave. The curtains do not close all the way so passersby can see into your room through the window and the well placed mirror that shows the bed. Bring a hair clip and clip the curtain to the chain on the door to keep outside eyes from seeing into your room. Bring your own extra towels. When I asked for extra towels they asked me to give them the old towels. I just wanted to have extra as we were in and out of the water and the towels were very small and got wet and stayed wet all day. And nevermind with putting the do not disturb sign on the door they will just come in anyways. I have never stayed at a hotel and had staff enter my room when the sign was on the door. Anytime ive asked for extras, or requested something it was left on my door handle or by the door. In passing the staff we never got a pleasant smile or warm feeling. When I think of a resort I think warm atmosphere, a bar/ restaurant in which if on property you can bill to your room so you don't have to have your wallet or phone on you, so you can wander around after instead of going back to the room so you can then go walk around the beach or go into the pool. Cheerful, happy staff I'd even settle for a smile and or a head nod in passing. When we arrived we asked for a property map there is none, on our walk to our room (not that I personally have an issue with it) could smell weed and that smell lingered around the hotel everyday, everywhere. If you're bringing your children be prepared for that. Bring your own beach chairs, rentals are available at a fairly high cost. There are so many "no", "not permitted", and "don't do this" signs everywhere. You can bring your own booze to the hotel but not to the pool or the hot tub unless in a unmarked container. The hot tub was nice however the seat inside was incredibly rough on your tush and very loud. The view of the ocean was amazing. Parking is tight if you have a bigger vehicle truck / van / large SUV. We were looking to explore new places since Hurricane Ian destroyed our home away from home and this "resort" definitely isn't it. This hotel has potential to be something great but they are simply missing the mark by a longshot. In response to the bedbugs I didn't see that review until we arrived and we pulled back the sheets to investigate and saw none nor did we experience anything like that. It's possible they were no-see-um bites. Very common on beaches especially when it's...

At least it was a roof over our head for our vacation, right?

Ehhhh…when we first got there, we got checked into our room and set everything down and immediately went to the beach. Came back up and noticed the room was hot (even though the ACs were on 65 constant fan), started changing and I saw something on the wall…DEAD bug, gross. Then went into the shower and looked and saw MOLD on the trim around the shower, even more gross. I walked onto the balcony and then went to come in and noticed a monster energy drink can in the trash, I don’t drink that and neither does my 56 yr old mother and 2 yr old daughter. That’s when I went down to the front desk. The lady put it in their notebook online for the manager to look at and to have maintenance inspect, offered us to switch rooms so we did. Got to the new room, there were dirty dishes in the cabinets, no dish soap to wash them, and random stains all on the doors and walls. It’s like nobody cleans there. We felt gross the whole time. THEN the people above us were blaring their music to the point we couldn’t sleep. My mom went down to complain and the lady basically said there’s not much I can do because I am here by myself…no manager no maintenance personnel…that’s unsafe for her and everybody there. After speaking with them about these issues we’ve had they said they could refund us 1 nights worth. This was Tuesday, I said okay. I booked through booking.com and they contacted them confirming the refund. They said okay refund will be sent to your account. Booking.com sent them an email for written authorization and have yet to hear from the Manager for it. Because supposedly he is the only one who can do it. Contacted the resort today and was told he won’t be in till Monday around midday, so now I have to wait even longer to receive my refund. This place is a hazard and a joke. The manager never even came and spoke to us about the issues we were having. I didn’t even tell them about half the issues we had with the room we switched to. Just be aware that 602 has mold and 401 tub barely drains, you’ll be waiting awhile to take a shower if someone takes one before you. Paid $1000 for a health hazard of a place. Health and safety violations? I don’t know, maybe if the manage actually cared and spoke to us face to face then I...

DO NOT STAY HERE OR TRUST ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS YOU SEE. I booked this “resort” for our first wedding anniversary trip, based off of previous reviews and price. We are not high maintenance people and just wanted a comfortable, clean get away on the beach. Our room with a beach view was about $240 per night. As soon as we entered our room, a musty mildewy smell hit us and did not go away even after leaving the door open a while. A cockroach was on the floor and both of the beds were wet. The room itself is very outdated, rusty and damaged. The ceiling in the shower is falling apart, and the lighting is nearly nonexistent. I got into the only functioning elevator with another family and complimented them on their perfume; they proceeded to tell me that they all sprayed themselves with different things to cover up the nasty smell of their room. I went to the front desk to ask for a manager, and was told he wasn’t present. The nice girl at the front offered me another room, but I declined after hearing the other family complaining in the elevator. We left after being in the room for an hour and drove all the way back home. The front desk clerk gave me the managers email address and I sent a message the same evening (two weeks ago) and have not received a response. I’ve called multiple times and he hasn’t been present. Booking.com has tried to reach the property with no results thus far. I am appalled at the condition on this property and managements complete disregard for quality and service. We were robbed of $240 and our first wedding anniversary weekend.
