Hamish with Emerald Wake was a great experience for our son, so much so we signed up for lessons twice. Our 15yr old son wanted a jet ski but he also enjoyed surfing. While surf-able waves are hard to come by on Florida’s pan handle we found efoils could be a great alternative. Luckily we found Emerald Wave online and set up a lesson. We drove the 2hrs to Panama City Beach and met Hamish. He has the complete setup, multiple boards, life vests of different sizes, and helmets with communication. It was great to see how he was able to communicate with our son while on the board to help tell him what to do and when to do it. Best part is Hamish has a drone the he flies right out there to give him a Birds Eye view in order to help teach. I’m not going to lie the first lesson was tough, my son didn’t get up on the foil too often but he drastically improved by the second.
