I stayed at the Forrest Inn Motel for two week nights (September 7th and 8th) while in town for work. I admit, when I pulled up I thought I was going to be disappointed. It looked small and a little worn on the outside. The lobby was actually very comfortable. There were no weird smells and they had plenty of pamphlets and information for travelers available. The woman who checked me in was very kind and eager to ensure I had a nice stay. The room was amazing! It was perfectly appointed to take care of all my needs. I had the king jacuzzi suite (room 38). The jacuzzi was immaculate. I even looked for dirt or grime in the calking and was amazed I saw none! There was a TV suspended in the corner that I could easily see whether I was lounging in the tub or in bed. The king-sized bed had so many pillows, was super comfortable, and the bedding was very soft and nice as well. The towels supplied were plush and thick and they did not skimp on the amount. While I didn't use it, the room supplied a plush thick grey robe as well. I could park my van right outside my window which was nice to be able to keep an eye on it. There was also a nice vanity sink with great lighting to do my hair and make-up in the morning before work. While I didn't really eat the continental breakfast, it looked adequate for a quick bite before heading out the door. I mentioned to the staff that I was looking for a good soft pretzel. I came back from work and there was a printout in my room of a restaurant in the area that offered pretzels and cheese complete with address and directions. That was really awesome and above and beyond. I couldn't have been more satisfied with the accommodations...
Read moreI am ashamed of even giving the rating a 1 star. April 2024 I called and blocked off my wedding date for Friday and Saturday. The staff I had talked to her name was Courtney. She was amazing and helped us out thoroughly. Fast-forward to February 2025 I call to start doing reservations and bookings and both days. The lady who answered the phone was completely rude and disrespectful. She accused me of fraud as I’m sitting with my wedding party going through each person‘s reservation with their information so she interrupted me mid sentence and said she was gonna have her manager call me. Her manager called me and instead of correcting her staff‘s behavior she fed into it as well and was just as rude and now banned all of us from the Forrest Inn motel. When you are a manager, you do not allow your staff to be disrespectful to customers and you as a manager don’t do that behavior either. I’m sure the owners would’ve loved knowing that his hotel just lost out on $6000+ due to these women’s awful behaviors towards customer's. I 10/10 would not recommend working with this hotel for an individual booking or a wedding booking. * And I will add they were not just rude to me - the bride, but also my wedding party that was booking too. 💋 no thanks!
I infected find a local hotel that was kind and polite on the phone to all of us and appreciates our service and is excited for our stay in June! I will gladly keep supporting business’s that treat their...
Read moreI have stayed at many a big name, chain hotel and I have never felt as comfortable or cozy as I have at Forrest Inn. We drove from Illinois for a funeral and after driving for seven hours and taking a cat nap in a Kwik Trip parking lot, I decided to call the hotel and ask how much do they charge for an early check-in and I was told since no one had booked my room, I was more than welcome to come in. We were so grateful as we were dead tired and needed to change clothes so we could head to church on time.
Our room was clean, very cozy and comfortable. I've stayed in many hotels, but never had a mini fridge with a freezer that actually froze whatever I put in it. 🤣
The shower was pleasantly hot with good water pressure.
What I love the most is the small town sense of friendliness, the fur babies visiting the lobby, the friendly staff, and the fact that when we returned from our outing on day two, we found our room clean, the beds made, and fresh towels waiting for us.
Having been to Amery many times I have passed up this little gem
Their Continental breakfast has some really good coffee and muffins, plus cereal, yogurt, and other snacks.
Price wise we paid a decent price And have enjoyed every Despite being in and out.
Definitely will be back and highly recommend to anyone seeking a clean, cozy spot to rest and refresh plus the strip mall is...
