Great place to spend some quality time with friends and family to reconnect, beautiful natural setting with historical lodge and modern cabin. Wonderful hosts go out of their way to provide insight on local attractions for a variety of interests. Close to NOC and the lake. We recently met up with friends staying at the lodge and spent 2 nights in the cabin on the hill overlooking the grounds, ample parking, mountain views from the large balcony porch, wildlife (turkey, eagle, you can practically hand-feed the trout in the front pond and the hummingbirds will hover a foot away from you). Their knowledge of the area was invaluable, and they went out of their way to ensure we had the best possible experience. This place is fantastic. It starts with our hosts Tim and Liz who could not be more helpful. They love this place, and they shared it with us. The front room, the dinning area, the kitchen, the library and the upstairs den are so beautiful. The wood used in the construction was cut and milled on site from local chestnut trees. So the lodge has this natural, fresh smell to it. Our room, the Mallard Suite was comfortable, cozy and cool. Tim would have breakfast ready each morning with a great selection of food. The biscuit and gravy are to die for! Tim is a wealth of knowledge and with Liz, we would spend time talking and enjoying their company.
