I cannot begin to express how amazing our experience with the Stone Chalet has been. We did a full-room buyout for our wedding weekend and had the most incredible time. Every single member of the staff was kind, professional, and hard-working. My wedding day was the most beautiful day of my life thanks to the dedication of Daisy, Ruby, Vincent, and the entire team at Stone Chalet! I watched for two days as every person here worked so hard to make sure that we all had everything we needed to have a beauitful event!

The pre-event communication is absolutely amazing! I had about a million different needs and questions and Daisy made sure everything was answered and taken care of. I knew nothing about planning a wedding so this team played a huge roll in making sure that all the details were put together to create a wedding weekend that was smooth and beautiful.

My guests have been raving about the beautiful atmosphere of the Stone Chalet, the amazing staff, the delicious breakfasts, and the overall charming quality that this hotel/venue holds. I don't think I heard a single complaint throughout the entire weekend! The rooms are absolutely beautiful and are so much fun with their themes and decorations. When you stay here, you feel like you are staying in a romantic dream land filled with magical treasures hidding in every space! There are lots of indoor and outdoor spaces for guests to sit and relax, which I absolutely loved!

As for the service you'll receive in regards to the wedding, WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!! I felt like a princess that was surrounded by an amazing team of professionals dedicated to creating a beautiful event. I had very little to do with the set up of the ceremony and reception space. I brought them all of the things I had for decorations and they put together spaces so beautiful that I actually cried the first time I saw them. Daisy and Ruby were there every step of the way to make sure everything went as smooth as possible on the day of my wedding. The day was litereally PERFECT! There were smooth transitions between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and they even managed to capture the most AMAZING pictures and videos on the day of.

Whether you're looking for a cozy, romantic hotel or an increidble event venue, the Stone Chalet comes highly recommended from this bride and every guest we had staying with us throughout the weekend. You will be so beyond happy with your choices if you pick the Stone Chalet! I owe them all the biggest thank yous in the world for being a major part of my wedding and given me the gift of a stress-free wedding day. I love you all and keep up the...

My husband and I recently booked a reservation for our upcoming 15th wedding anniversary. The Stone Chalet looked like a lovely B&B with nice reviews. After I booked the reservation a few weeks ago, my husband decided to reach out to the B&B to add the Honeymoon Deluxe Package as a surprise. The website listed the package at $360 and could be added after reserving the room. After emailing back and fourth with guest services, the facility informed my husband that the price listed on the website was "pre-pandemic" prices and they were currently updating the price to $475 and would he like to book at the new price? My husband said he was confused why they were suddenly trying to upcharge him. Guest services forwarded his number to the owner and my husband then spoke with Daisy.

Daisy was very rude to him on the phone. She continuously cut him off mid-sentence while raising her voice at him. Daisy told him that they will just cancel our reservation and said she was going to hand the phone to her husband, Vincent.

My husband then recounted the situation to Vincent, letting him know that he wanted to add the special package as a surprise to me. Vincent, while not nearly as rude as his wife, stood firmly on the suddenly updated price and that we can continue with the cancellation. Apparently they would rather lose our nearly $600 reservation plus extras than to honor the original package price (a difference of $115.)

Shortly after the phone conversation, I received a text from Daisy and Vincent stating "Due to a discussion with your husband we have been requested to cancel your reservation. We really hope we can serve you in the future as we are disappointed in this situation from an honest mistake."

Shortly after that, Vincent texted my husband saying he reflected upon the conversation they had twenty minutes previously and would now like to honor the lower price, but we feel it is too little too late, and our trust in their business was already ruined.

So not only did they upset my husband, but they also spoiled the surprise my husband was planning.

As someone with over a decade of customer service, I would expect that they would either honor the original price or discontinue the package. That aside, the most upsetting part of the entire situation is the rude way both owners spoke with my husband and ruined the surprise. We will not be staying at the...

This bed and breakfast was, for the most part, very nice. Our room (China/Huntsman) was clean and our stay was quiet and the food was pretty good. The kitchen staff were lovely. I stayed with my partner last night while we travel across the US.

The reason I leave a mixed review is first because our shower did not work well. The water was a dribble. There did not appear to be anyone available to talk to about this.

The second reason is the more important one. Less than a block away from the Stone Chalet were men standing on both sides of Washtenaw Avenue picketing. As we drew closer to them, my partner and I realized that they were holding signs that displayed extremist anti-Semitic content. One sign read “Gas Chambers….? Really????”

If anyone at the Stone Chalet knew that there were anti-Semitic picketers standing a short distance away from the doors, someone should have warned us before we arrived. I find it very hard to believe that the Stone Chalet did not know about these men, as they had approximately 20 signs and were standing on both sides of the street, yelling at traffic. It appeared as though this was a regular occurrence, as no other traffic other than our car even slowed down to see what was going on.

This shouldn’t be important, but I am Jewish. As a Jewish guest, I’d have stayed elsewhere and avoided seeing Holocaust deniers so close to a bed and breakfast that I was staying at. Unfortunately, at check out time, no one was there for us to report this to. We left feeling very uncomfortable and hoping that a Google review will alert others to maybe choose somewhere else to stay if they don’t feel like being exposed to this sort of extremist hate speech.

Edit: I have read the response from Stone Chalet and found it lacking. What I wish is not for the Chalet to control the behaviour of people in Ann Arbor, but to commit to warning people, now that they are aware of anti-Semitic protests happening just down the street, that it is a possibility that guests may encounter same. My priority was to get out of the area as quickly as possible for my own safety and that of my partner, not to try and reach the Chalet staff using one of apparently many online means. To suggest that it is incumbent upon guests to do this after being exposed to targeted hate speech is...

My wife, brother/sister-in-law, and two nieces had the pleasure of staying at the Stone Chalet, and I couldn’t have been happier. For the sake of keeping this post digestible, I’ll skip the novel and just tell you why you should absolutely book here: 1) The management (Vincent & Daisy) were phenomenal. We checked in suuuper early and—by our own fault—didn’t give the rooms proper time to cool down (record-breaking temps the day we arrived). My wife, needing to get ready without melting, was distraught. Vincent was beyond considerate and immediately responsive. He personally checked our unit and offered us multiple alternatives to make sure she was as comfortable as possible. I was overwhelmed with gratitude watching him calmly and empathetically listen to her needs. HUGE thank you to him. 2) The place is beautiful and overflowing with charm and whimsy. The property was immaculately landscaped and well-kept, but the rooms were just… for lack of a better word… FUN. From the Neverland room to the Harry Potter room to our Game of Thrones suite (no "Red Weddings" had here), every space had thoughtful knick-knacks that took your standard, antiqued B&B vibe and turned it into something personal and creative. Our nieces (3 & 8) were having the time of their lives, and I have to say… so was this 37-year-old man. 3) The breakfast... Y’all... TRUST ME. Ruby and Luke took such great care of us, and it was some of the best breakfast food I’ve had in a long time. Beyond the taste, the presentation was utterly Victorian and completely charming. No paper napkins or pre-packaged plastic jelly—everything was served on glass-backed chargers, with fresh-cut flowers and fine china. Just... delightful. 4) Bang for your buck—this place offers way more than any chain hotel. When you factor in the experience element, you’ll never want to stay anywhere else when visiting Ann Arbor. 10/10 will return. Huge thanks to Vincent, Daisy, their two adorable kids, the back-of-house staff, and of course, Luke and Ruby.

We booked Stone Chalet at the last minute for our December 18th wedding. We received prompt replies to our inquiries and quickly booked their micro-wedding package. Everything exceeded our expectations—from how gracious and personable owners Daisy and Vincent were to Ruby and the rest of the staff who just went above and beyond to make my fiancé and me and our guests feel comfortable and at home. The venue has charm for DAYS, and the decorations for our wedding were so tasteful and beautifully arranged. The lemon-lavender wedding cake might have been the most delicious cake I've ever eaten. Their photographer was phenomenal; she was creative and thoughtful with the photos and GREAT with the kids in our small party. She seemed to genuinely enjoy what she does and that really translated in her work. The whole venue was exceptionally LGBTQ+ friendly and sensitive, and we couldn't have been more grateful for how comfortable on our special day we felt. I couldn't recommend this venue—or the incredible folks who run it—enough!

We stayed one night in the lovely Garden Room of the Parsonage which is aptly named The Wizard Ward. The Harry Potter theme throughout the room was simply amazing! Our grandchildren would have loved it. Beyond being a beautiful large room with all the wonderful details in decorations, our king size bed was very comfortable and the quality and on-theme design of the sheets were a nice surprise. We enjoyed the fireplace as it warmed the room nicely in the evening and again in the morning as we were getting ready. We appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the delicious breakfast that was prepared exactly as requested. Excellent communication and instructions were given before, during and after our stay. Next time we would like to try an upstairs room as the walking in the room above us could be heard late at night and first thing in the morning. A minor inconvenience for such lovely accommodations, but could be problematic for a light sleeper. Overall, the place was very quiet. We highly recommend staying here.
