I've been coming to the Common Cup for 4 years+. Of all of the places (I've done graduate school at the U...I've tried all of the coffee shops in town) to study in Ann Arbor I find it the best. Reasons:
Parking. You can park your car here and not have to pay. This can't be said of any of the other coffee shops located within the city of Ann Arbor. Prices: ~2.75 for a bottomless cup. Can't be beat. Ambiance: there are rotating art exhibits that are up on the walls that make the space change from month to month. When I have to do some serious studying it is nice to have a place without windows to minimize distractions. Internet/Outlets: exceptionally fast. I have never had any issues with connecting. Most tables have access to an outlet so you're able to stay for a while to get work done. Quality: Hyperion coffee is served and it is consistently excellent. Staff: All incredibly friendly/helpful. Hours: It isn't open until as late as some of the other coffee shops, but during the academic year it is open until 10.
All in all I cannot say enough good things. You...

Best coffee shop ever. (Pictures are...

However, that was not the case here at The Common Cup. It functions the same as any nice coffee shop should, very relaxed. It is a great space for everyone. I like their acceptability of the public and their subtle Christian hues for anyone who is receptive of them (but they are not overbearing or forced at all). Oh and another 5 stars on the play on words with the name and the WiFi...
