So much went wrong here, as a female traveling alone I was uncomfortable from the very beginning the hotel is located away from everything surrounded by the forest. When I checked in the guy at the front desk seemed to be somewhat friendly, but there was a bit of a red flag when he asked if I needed one key card or two.. in my experience I've never been asked that hotels usually automatically give me two key cards. I really didn't think much of it at first. Once I arrived to my room I realized I had absolutely no cell phone reception in room 108 near the front desk. I actually had to go to the parking lot to make a call, not cool! As I stated earlier I was already uneasy about staying at the hotel I literally sleep fully dressed shoes included just in case I needed to get out quick. I finally got myself to sleep around 2am, around 3:15am I was startled out of my sleep by the hotel room phone ringing back to back my instinct told me to check on my car.. I looked out of the window everything appeared to be fine, but the phone kept ringing I finally answered and it turns out to be the guy at the front desk saying my car alarm was going off... totally false! It was so strange that he would say that seemed like some funny business going on. Im not sure if he expected me to automatically take his word and exit the room or what, but I felt extremely unsafe and decided my best bet was to find a new hotel despite the fact I had prepaid for a 3 night stay there. I tried to get a refund with no luck not even for 1 of the three days despite I was only there for maybe 5 hours max. Something just didn't feel right so I had to choose safety over money spent. Got a room at the Hampton Inn which was so much better the manager there was phenomenal at welcoming me in and making me feel safe as well as comfortable. I feel like I maybe missing a few details but that was the jist of my experience. Would not recommend especially to women traveling alone. Better safe than sorry!!! *UPDATE * I stayed with Days Inn June 13th. As of July 1st Expedia notified me I would receive a refund and issued the refund. Other than that my review still stands, I...
Read moreThe perfect short stay. Myself and two friends were each traveling with a dog. All 3 of us got our own rooms. When we booked they were very accommodating and put our rooms near each other and near the back door that leads out to where the dog potty station (trash can + potty bags) and large grassy area were. The rooms were clean and comfortable with convenient amenities like flat tv mini fridge, microwave, coffee/tea/hot water maker, full size hair dryer, iron with full size ironing board, desk. The climate control in the room worked great. The free breakfast options were plentiful. There was a convenient luggage cart for everyone to use located near the entrance/exit door of each floor While we didn't utilize them we loved that there was a guest laundry facility, gym, and vending machines with snacks and beverages all on the first floor, ice machines on every floor, and an elevator in addition to the stairs. We also loved that there was a patio with dining tables, chairs, and a propane grill for guest use in nice weather. The front desk staff and cleaning staff were very friendly and accommodating. It's located next to a large gas station with made to order food options as well as convenience items, not far from a local grocery store, and not too far from other things. Walking my dog there was peaceful in the morning. I felt safe and secure both in my room and around the interior and exterior of the property. All in all a great place to stop on our travels for a...
Read moreThis review has been a long time coming. I've been staying here every weekend since about April, it's now August. I cannot overstate how much I've enjoyed staying here. For me it has been less about the amenities available (which I really don't know anything about) and more about the peace of mind and consistency. I always feel safe here and I know whatever room I'm placed in is going to be clean and stocked with enough towels and pillow options to keep me comfortable. Their breakfast options are ready and available every morning - I will confess, I never tried making myself a waffle at a hotel but the area was so well kept and uncrowded I gave it a shot. Turns out these hotel waffles are about the best possible way you can start your day and I absolutely did dance when I had my first one. The all around BEST part of my stay has been Carrie. I am here on the weekends - arguably the most busy and stressful days at a hotel, and she has always been wonderful. She has gone above and beyond to help me coordinate stays and enter tons of reservations for me. I haven't had any negative experiences with anyone, but I am genuinely always glad to see her coming to the counter to check me in or assist me with something. Carrie, thank you so much for all of your hard work and care. You really made it a no-brainer for me to return here week after week, I...
