First let me say the park is lovely. We had booked and were arriving April 16 which we were told is off season. No problem. We called the resort on the day..the phone says you must be here by sunset. However that's incorrect. You must be here by 3. I understood since it was just changing over to off season things need a day or two to iron out.|We were shown to our site and told to check in at the office the next day.|We were given a package..typical of RV parks, map of park, what is included.|We had to go back to get a modem for the cable tv. Would have been nice to have that in the package. |Also if your not a resident and have something delivered through Amazon.. They send it back.. Even if you have your site number. In April when it's at a low capacity.. They can't call you. It would take too much time.Apparently you have to register for mail when you check in.Again would have been nice to have been told at check in. |The disappointment is the gym and main building with pool tables, library is locked up at 3 pm and not open on weekends. It would have been nice to have been told this when we reserved.|At no point were we told the water was being shut off for a day. And as it turns out the next day. We only knew because a resident had told us. So no bathroom available at the pool area... We overheard at the pool that the next day it would be shut off again. I don't understand why they couldn't text us..or mention it when we were twice at the registration desk.. which again.. unknown to us thats how they inform people. I understand we are not residents yet we did pay to be here.|The full time residents at this park Are wonderful. Very welcoming and friendly.|It's not a five star because of the lack of communication from the front office people. That should be improved. Or just don't rent to short...

The park is beautiful, but beware. We are selling our place after many years. Actually, we are pulling our model out of the park because we were unable to sell even at a greatly reduced price. If you visit the park, there are about 20 others that have pulled their park models out as well. Pretty soon, this place will look like a ghost town. It didn't help that the "real estate" agents at the park didn't bother to market (other than internet listing that needed to be corrected) or even show our place. They passively waited to see what would happen but would have collected a real estate fee of about 10% if it had sold. I know they were showing the RV Parks new models. Rents and fees have tripled in the past 10 years. And watch for all of the hidden fees such as water and entertainment that are not included in the annual rent. We are being priced out and will go elsewhere in the area. Smart travelers will do their homework and visit other parks as well. This is such a disappointment. Our family and friends came to visit and rented for many years and loved this park. Last three years the park wouldn't let them rent in advance or guarantee them a place. The park wanted new renters only so they could potentially sell to them. We will go where we are ALL welcome and treated as valued guests. We are shaking the sand from our feet and moving on to a more guest friendly establishment. The over 55 crowd is more money savvy...

We were looking for a desert home and we knew we didn’t want to live in the city but still be able to be close enough to enjoy all the city has to offer. When we drove into Gold Canyon Golf & RV we knew this was the place we wanted to put down roots. If you’re bored in this place it’s because you choose to be. There are so many amenities and activities to enjoy. One of the jewels here is The Bistro. If you feel like eating out but don’t want to drive, the on site Bistro has many choices to enjoy and often a bit of live music as well. Friendly, happy and active people live here.

Our first visit... short term, 5 nights. Lots of activities, friendly staff and residents. Golf course is convenient ...but needing better maintenance. Residential areas lacking in views of surroundings (sunset thru rooflines). Cable TV and wifi included in rates but not user friendly. We were located close to clubhouse for hottub, showers and classes... those farther could have considerable walk/ bike ride to common areas. At Passport America rate... we would return.

YT - Yeti at large A lovely resort with friendly neighbors. The staff who assisted with parking our RV were untrained and contradicting each other creating an unsafe situation. The landscapers frequently used gas powered leaf blowers early in the morning. We were prevented from using our dog enclosures. Would possibly stay there again. Yeti at large on YouTube
